I was out yesterday (4/10) and took a lap around catalina, west to east, most water in the channel and around the island was around 56°, and not a lot biting. Did have a bit of a topwater bite with calicos in the kelp around cape cortez, but other than that it was totally dead.

Hope your trip works out, seems like our weekends have been getting some cruddy conditions lately. Oh well the life of the 9-5 M-F working man . We need that south swell/current to kick in soon and bring some warmer water. Looks like we get a tiny weak South swell this week.
