This was very helpful. I recently bought an fn2 but the previous owner put ali express ones on which are flaking and the wrong colour.

I went to see right shed before I found my FN2, and someone had just stuck a new badge on top of the old one, it was crooked too. Looked awesome! :D

Great video mate - thanks for the tips 👍🏻 Get rid of the sound deadening on the inside of the bonnet…will tidy it up and you’ll hear the intake better.

Awesome, thanks for the video! Nice to see the comparison between genuine and fake... I thought I'd bought genuine but I do have fakes by the looks of it. They still look fine though. I tried flossing my badges today but gave up too quickly, will try your technique with the knife/trim removal tool. 👍🏻

Went to Cox Motorparts and asked about a genuine rear H badge (as my chrome is flaking) and they replied "Thank you for getting in touch with us. Unfortunately it looks like this badge only comes complete with the rear light unit it seems!" I've a picture out of the Honda parts manual, but can't attach it here. Thoughts ?
@FNLEW4 жыл бұрын
Is your model a type R or a type s? I will say it's not listed as a rear badge. It's listed as a front one but a friend that worked for honda for years informed me that the front and back are the same badge so just buy the front one and it will fit fine.

Sound job mate , mine is looking tatty too! I'll get my order and tidy it up and slap on a vinyl wrap at the same time. I'm so caught up in tuning at the mo lol, does you're motor have the FD2 Balancer shaft delete? This is my next mod. Already wacked on a teigwa catback, LSD and ECUTEK remap and it's running brilliantly but I desire more lol

Hey mate, can u please shed some light on something for me? To your knowledge, what's the biggest battery you can fit in an FN2 WITHOUT relocating the whole thing to where the stock intake would be? If that makes sense. I've looked up some options in my country (I don't live in UK) and found some 60Ah and 65Ah Exide's and thought I hit the jackpot but then I remembered the stock battery is so tightly thrown in there and I don't even know the dimensions, my car is in the shop right now. So whatcha think, am I stuck with 45/48 Ah for life or what? Note: I do not want to relocate to trunk or any other place, Thanks so much in advance! Cheers!
@FNLEW4 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, unfortunately I have no knowledge about this. What I do know is the where the battery is fitted it fits EXACTLY in it's destination. So I don't think there'd be room there for a bigger one. But that's just my opinion.
@jjsx53474 жыл бұрын
@@FNLEW Really the only variable that doesn't let me sleep right now is the width of the whole space where the battery goes. I've seen a couple of sites suggesting 129 mm is max, while others found batteries compatible at 173 mm width. 4.4 centimeters is a hell of a difference. Any thoughts? Since I'm not able to measure on my car right now...
@FNLEW4 жыл бұрын
@@jjsx5347 I honestly don't know. I only bought a replacement battery from my local automotive parts shop. I gave them my reg and they gave me a battery.

When you used the screw driver you should have put a cloth at the bottom so you don’t mark the outer . As for getting the sticky backing off , use a hairdryer and the job will be done in 3 minutes! 👌🏻
@FNLEW4 жыл бұрын
Don't worry I made sure I didn't mark it and by the time I got a hair dryer and an extension through my house I'd have finished it either way so I just stuck at it. 😂
