It's pronounced "Spy Family". The X is decoration and is silent, just like for _Hunter x Hunter._ They literally lifted the idea from HxH, in fact; in an interview, the editor said that the working title was already Spy Family in Japanese, and they settled on using the same in English for the official title, but Endo (the creator) thought _Spy Family_ as a title looked too plain.

The Titel is "Spy Family" - you read it with out the x. It's actually in the japanese Titel. Just below the big latin letters you an see small Katakana (スパイファミリー) which read "Spy Family". I love the manga! I read it on the jump plus app and my the volumes when I are published in germany. Speaking of germany. As many people noticed the story is sat in a fantasy version of germany since the city is called Berlint. But I also noticed the use the old german money! The one we had befor the Euro. You can see it in the scene when Anya holds the Coin. The coin has the oak leaf together with wheat and some linies on it.

Forgot to mention but the flashback scene of Loid as a child, you see the background in tatters, suggesting when he was a child, he probably lost his family and there was a war going on and the whole town got bombed or shelled. That's just my guess going by the insane amount of building damage around him in the very short flashback.

Loid thinks and tries to tell himself even after this that it is just a fake family. just for the mission and so on. And sure we knew that he really would go save her because we know he is a good guy but notice that he didn't ultimately decide to save Anya because he could still use her. He chose to risk his cover and life just to get her outside and 'set her free' sending her to the police station. There was no upside to the mission or himself. It was an act of pure love for a child. A completely selfless act. Even if he doesn't realize it, he already loves her and has truly become her father. Loid might be a genius super spy but he is the slowest of the bunch at recognizing his own feelings.

i say "spy family" rather than "spy x family" because its the same thing with hunter x hunter. when you look at the title names for hunter x hunter, the titles usually are "killua x meets x gon!" and so when you read the title, you don't pronounce the "x" so i just figured its the same thing with hunter x hunter and spy x family!

In Japan, it's just called the spy family. But in foreign countries, I think it's okay to call each way. For example, Attack on Titan is also an ”The attack titan” in Japanese. This is the name of Ellen's giant, which made it the title of Manga in here. When translate the title of a Hollywood movie into Japanese as it is, it may cause a sense of discomfort in terms of language. In such a case, the Japanese will give another Japanese title (with permission). (Sorry ... I'm using translation software. I hope the text makes sense.)

People become spies for different reasons. Some simply aspire to be one. Some are chosen and trained based on existing skills required for an operation. Most are military personnel recruited to specialize in intelligence. Being a spy is a boring job. My dad used to be one for a few years, then he started a family and worked a normal 9to5. By the time he told his family about it, he was already old and never got into any details. Now he has dementia so we'll never know what he actually did. My country had a bloody history in the 60's, I suspect his work had something to do with that.
