04:50 for those who don't know, decibel is an exponential metric. As in it doubles the energy-load within the measured metric by every 3 decibel. So it's like going from 2, to 4, to 8, to 16 etc. only it's the force of the sound-wave, so removing 9 decibel is basically shrinking the sound by 92%+.
@randensim32952 жыл бұрын
it physically doubles every 3 Db, as in there’s twice as much energy. However we only perceive the sound to be twice as loud every 10 Db, so a decrease of 9 Db means it’s about half as noisy.

Young people would love to do them if it could pay them well, it always comes down to the producers not getting the bulk of profit for these crafts, passion can only take you so far.

@@availablehage It's not as much a scam as it is a way of stabilizing their revenue stream. Cheap printers are often sold at next to no profit or sometimes even at a loss, with the sale of ink providing the main source of revenue. It lowers the financial barrier to entry, widening their market segment, and instead of the company earning a lot of money a single time on selling an expensive printer, they earn a bit of money multiple times whenever the ink is replaced, generally providing a more predictable stream of revenue and increasing job security at the company.

I always thought it was an Urban Myth, when I was told the following story..... A Rolls Royce owner was travelling through Switzerland and on leaving their hotel they found that the car would not start. The owner contacted Rolls Royce. They advised him to book back into the hotel for two nights at their expense. The following day a low loader arrived with what looked like a car covered with a tarpaulin. The driver removed the tarp to reveal a second Rolls Royce. He removed the new car from the low loader and gave the owner the keys. He then manoeuvred the broken down one onto the low loader and completely covered it with the tarp. When he asked what was going on, the owner was told 1. He had free use of the second car for as long as his holiday lasted. 2. His own car would be returned to the factory and any repairs required would be completed with no charge. 3. On his return his own car would be brought to his home (again under wraps) and the loaner car would be taken away (under wraps). The owner, while deeply impressed by this service asked why? The driver replied: "It is quite simple, Sir... Rolls Royce cars NEVER BREAK DOWN. We will NEVER let anybody see that there may be a problem". Like I said - I assumed this to be an Urban Myth. However having seen this I suspect it may be closer to the truth than I ever believed!! I'll still never be able to afford one though!!
