There’s another side to this beautiful young lady. At age of 7 she witnessed first hand hard poverty in south Africa when she saw children who had nowhere to play and nothing to play with. She promised her self and I believe God that if she ever had money she would do something about that and said”children have a right to play”. At age 10 after winning Hollands Got Talent she started her own charity foundation and gives half of all her proceeds from her live performances to this charity to build playgrounds in South Africa. To date they have built twenty some playgrounds! Because “ children have a right to play”

The foundation that she set up, no longer restricts itself to building playgrounds (oh they still do that) but, they also provide food and clothing where needed.

@@joshmurrayreactions Josh, I don’t believe I have every seen Amira nervious she is so well prepared. Her parents are both musicians and she has learned what the audience expects of her. May I recommend you watch her “Sound of Music” medley.

She is a very outspoken Christian who doesn't just talk the talk but, she walks the walk. She usually makes certain to include songs of faith in her concerts.

Great authentic reaction! Amira manages to deliver emotion, angelitude and drama in a unique way. The soprano's regular range is from B3 to C6. It's a challenge for them to reach C6 musically. Amira has been doing this since she was a child. In this performance, at just 13 years old, Amira projects live a long and beautiful D6, followed by an unbelievable E6 flat. Very few adult sopranos ever get the chance to sing with a full orchestra and choir in front of a large audience. Amira has been doing this regularly since the age of 10. Amira sings the best songs ever composed because she has the natural ability to take her voice wherever she wants.

What soprano can go as low as B3. That's a baritone. I have heard very few female voices that could go that low

@@PAT8888-is2pd Many sopranos start their range on B3, others start on the next note, C4, which is more common. Ariana Grande starts even lower, on D3. Perhaps you're confused about the order of notes within an octave. B3 is the highest note in the third octave, C3 is the lowest, the notes follow from C to B within an octave, B3 is the transition zone to the fourth octave. I hope I've been helpful.

Not confused however, I have known different vocal coaches from different places start their octave numbering at different places (as in an octave apart from where other vocal coaches do). I have several years of formal piano instruction and several years singing in multiple choirs and ensembles.

Amira = a mirror. Willighagen = Villik hah gen. She was 13 when she sang at this concert. Earlier in the same show she had sung Nessun Dorma and The Flower Duet, with partner Corlea Botha. Both opera arias are on YT and are stunning. I think it's safe to say Amira always delivers. She sings opera songs, gospel songs, music from films and shows. Anything that inspires. I have subscribed in the hope that you will continue to post her music. Thank you.

This is not just a song but a hymn, praising God for His grace and salvation in Christ. Amira knows this and sings it as an expression of her own faith and experience. She has sung many hymns both in English, Dutch and Afrikaans. How Great Thou Art is particularly notable.

If you like harmonies that build and soar, you'll love her singing Amen with the Ndlovu youth choir. It was recorded last year, so it's quite a recent offering by her.
