Hi, George! My husband is the one who painted the winter scene on the exterior windows!!! Did you know Treasure Marts has another location just 5 minutes away from that one? It's in Eustis. They also have one in Wildwood, Hudson, Vero Beach and one other location that I can't remember.

Glad to see you finding a good variety of items that will sell at your various shops and shows, at prices where you can make profit, and still have satisfied customers. I remember having some of these pieces as a child and teen. Seeing my life now being solidly Vintage was a bit of a shock when it first happened…of course, pieces I bought as Vintage in my day are now antique. It seems to shift every 25-30 years or so. For me, classic, high end items from the years I lived have staying power. It isn’t the fads that changed as often as people changed their underwear that hold value, where high quality goods do. Single focus collections also tend to drop in value while name/brand, and scarcity, as well as true artisanship and quality materials tend to hold their value, and increase as time is added to the equation. A big box of *Furbies* will fetch less than a classic styled Irish Round Tower Tweed women’s suit, which will command higher prices in today’s market, if properly stored and cared for. So much needs to be considered when building a collection from any given period.🖤🇨🇦

How to Marry a Millionaire is absolute gold...on my top 10 movie list. An era for certain and a great cast...beautiful ending too! Wonderful post, as usual, I learned a lot and might start keeping a keener eye out for some items. I collect Buzza prints, the verses are fun and sometimes cheesy but the graphics are usually lovely and they do look good clustered. Thanks.😊

The hairdos and dresses ( "robe de style") on the two pink boudoir lamps date from the early to mid 20s at the latest. I would think that is a more accurate way to date them, as I doubt they would sell a decade or more later when the fashions were definitely passe. Also..I love your channel! You are a natural teacher!
@TheAntiqueNomad9 ай бұрын
While you are absolutely correct that the fashions were dated, the glass firms didn't do a lot of fired-on colors until the 1930s, and there were dresser jars with those older styles still being made as well

Good evening, George. I liked the Victorian settee set. The Victorian water set was a nice one, at a really good price. I won't be adding anymore to my collection, though. I liked the fish brooch. I used to have a large red antique scale, with a brass tray and weights. I sold it when I moved here with mom. It weighed a ton. I didn't know Royal Worcester was no longer in business. That's sad. They made really nice porcelain. I like the dome-topped trunks best...keeps them from getting cluttered. I have one that belonged to my great-grandfather. I liked the green barrel decanter. They work great for Absinthe drip. Love the brass mortar and pestle. Fun shop-along!
@TheAntiqueNomad9 ай бұрын
Hello my friend! I knew you'd enjoy some of these items, the settee set was functional compared to most and the dome-top trunk was a beauty. I haven't had a good big antique scale in ages! We lost Royal Worcester about a decade ago, a real shame, they made great stuff. Glad you had fun with this one and it's nice to see you here
@CONSTELLATION_PEGASUS9 ай бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad Wow, I am behind times. I had no idea Royal Worcester had been gone a decade. The antique scales are really nice, and they can be used, but they take a lot of space and are super-heavy.

I paid $2 for it the other day at the SVdP II can't find anything on it. It has two thistles, and what I perceive as a comet and a love knot, it's stunning. Ive been searching daily for a week, many hours per day😂. I know that it is something special. I've done the Google thingy on it but no luck. Facebook and Reddit groups, vintage websites ect.
