Dont give up! I wish i knew this years ago - trust yourself. You can't always trust your instrument - it misbehaves occasionally - but trust your gut to tell you if you're veering off wrong or heading the right way.

KEN!!! That was a great livestream! I really appreciate the shout out. That made my day and made me feel super special! I'm glad that you chose this subject for your livestream because just last night I was listening to my favorite a cappella artists, but then I started to feel really depressed that I didn't sound exactly like them. This video really helped remind me to be proud of my own unique voice and that I can deliver my unique experience and perspective to the world. Thanks again Ken I love you!! ❤

I could not help to think back in my band days Ken. I was just good enough to entertain 100 to 500 people in the local scene here in Detroit. At the time, my biggest problem was I had a Eddie Vedder tone, which was fine for our original music, but we were heavy influenced at the time at did covers of Rush, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions all tenor strong vocalists. I did my very best, but was always singing a few octaves lower. Sometimes I wonder if my style was better fit for the early 90s🤔 Anyway, I did not care to much because I was following my passion, and it brought me so much joy, but the reality is, I was the wink link in our band. I can't tell you how many times the owner of the establishment we played at told the others in the band that if they just replace me, we would go places. Lucky for me the four of us grew up together in the same neighborhood in the west side of Detroit and all had the same goal to have a better life It was all of us or none of us. 🤟Sacred Oath 1981-1983🤘 🤘Pendulum 1984-1992🤘

Ken your story made me think of what happened to me. I walked into my old singing teacher's studio once and he was playing back a singer. I thought it sounded cool like one of my fave bands. I asked who it was. "That's you. I recorded it". I was shocked. I didn'tknow it was my own voice. And i liked it!!! Thanks for bringing this up Ken. I'd forgotren this in my own life. In my case I used to sing in a very extreme metal growling style in our band 25 years ago and since then I've only occasionally sang something, perhaps in a church setting or recorded something on my own, so I feel that any kind of singing has really become almost a foreign thing to me. But these videos have slowly motivated me to think about singing again and in a more wholesome way. Perhaps with practice I could sing Iron Maiden's, "Rime of the ancient mariner", which my friend wants to record and not make it sound like Bruce "Napalm Death" Dickinson sang it - we shall see - but thank you for these great videos, they have been a great help!

Hey Ken! As an early birthday gift, I'm buying your course. I'm a 16 year old singer with a nearly 5 octave vocal range, as I'm a low baritone but have a strong and high mixed voice. There's a bit of a gray area in my voice in the high 4th octave and low 5th octave, where it's too high for my chest but still a bit low for mixed. I'm really excited to improve with the help of your course, I feel this will help me achieve my goals and grow as a singer and artist! Thanks for being an inspiration!

Is it bad to not give your voice a break at least once a week from singing? I’ve been doing Ken’s vocal warmups and chest voice exercises here on KZbin (30 minutes a day) along with working on the vowels of an R&B song (30 minutes to an hour) 6 days a week. I really wanna buy the course and pro packs once I start working and earning money again. I was being classically trained by a vocal coach in person for the first time in my life for the last year who’s an opera singer, but personally I’ve liked Ken’s singing technique much better because it feels much more flexible. The vocal coach I was training with with told me my vocal type is baritone/tenor (baritenor).

This was when a HUGE AND I MEAN HUGE HAND ENCASED MY ENTIRE LEFT ARM AND LED NICODEMUS OUT FROM THAT FIRE. We are proof that our Lord Jesus Exists. What I felt was the literal Hand of God. I'm crying and have goose bumps. PRAISE GOD. So unfortunately beautiful Man, I just cant afford you most prestigious school of vocal academy. One day when I get onto my feet financially, I will. My mother bought Nicodemus for me before she died so that i would not be all alone in the world. Nicodemus is my treasure and only family member🤭😊🥺😪😢💐

Sir i had a doubt regarding your diaphragmatic support video.......I want to know whether i should PULL or KEEP my stomach inside or PUSH it outside to get the support? If possible do check out my voice in my channel. Thank you
