You can’t rly take the bulls vs Lyon game at face value. They’re in a relegation battle in the top 14 and essentially sent a 2nd/3rd string team.

In my opinion only 4 teams can win it: Leinster, La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Toulouse. I put Toulouse as favorite, without forgetting Leinster of course.

Alldritt might be a little less slower (though in the wind condition there was in the stadium, that is difficult to be sure), but he is definitly more experienced and somehow more decisive than last years. The match up with Evan Roos was not even close, it showed how much one is at the top of international level and the later has still lots to learn, don't you think?

This might be wishful thinking but I think some of these sides flattered to decieve. La Rochelle got a bit lucky with Stormers injuries and the missed final kick. I reckon LR arent the force they were and Leinster will be licking their lips for revenge. Bulls hammered a disinterested second-string Lyon team, but travelling to Northampton who have their tails up might be a different kettle of fish. Toulouse looked great but Racing were very poor - their 10 in particular was completely out of his depth. I imagine ST will beat Exeter at home but could see them coming unstuck in the semis against Bordeaux.

I am suprised with your comments. Nothing to do with luck with La Rochelle. I am not a La Rochelle supporter but this team never dies. Super strong defense and they bully you for 80 mins. The injuries are not coming out of nowhere. La Rochelle is he hardest team to play. Strange comment thinking they are slow and average. Leinster will have to put their A game is they want to win.

​@@rugbyanalyst I believe the wind was the main reason. Both team struggled when they where facing the wind. I wouldn't read too much from this game. Otherwise great content as always.

Actually, LaRochelle was lucky to win this game. The Stormers dealt with unprecedented self-inflicted injuries, from head on head by two stormers, 2 side-step knee injuries etc. most of these in similar positions. Later playing a lock at 8 (first time) and a hooker at 7 (first time). It was an unprecedented nightmare and LaRochelle didn't create that nightmare. Yet, the Stormers still dominated the last quarter of the game, almost scoring three times as LaRochelle faded considerably. And in the end, LaRochelle not being able to do anything about it, watches as Manie Libbok mercifully and luckily misses a kick in a cyclone to win them the game. Well done to them.

All teams are knocked off the pedestal eventually. Leinster have already beaten LR this season, away. People forget how close their previous games were I think.
