In this video I trade the lil ranger that's been sitting around for to long for a s10 blazer that I play with a little then trade it plus a lil cash for a better s10 blazer plus a little small block chevy.

Those side glass are extremely heavy, think about plexiglass instead. I had a 85 model sbc 350 th350 shift kit manual valve body 2,500 breakaway stall and a comp 280 flat tappet cam, 650 Holley machanical dp carburetor on a edelbrock rpm intake. I used ho 305 heads from Monte Carlo,stock valve’s 1.96/1.54 & just gasket matched intake to head. I would shift at 6,600 rpm’s and ran gas/methanol 50/50 at the time of street racing and never lost! It was slow in 1st (to me), but when it hit second to drive it would sway really bad,like a g body shuffle!! It rusted out around the back windows that are out of yours, so I cut the top off where the top of the windows are to each other like a truck top. Looked like a mini full size blazer,lol. Then it broke the flywheel from bolt to bolt all the way around just fast as I wanted to go,so I stripped it and built an 89 iroc and traded that for a 10 second s10 in 99. They fast, it’s just the weight of the windows had to much up high weight and made it sway thru 2nd gear

Sweet back into the S10s again finally lol I've been waiting for you to get an itch for another one . The old 2.8 at first I thought it's probably the intake manifold gaskets that failed because they're very common for that and alot of people think it's blown head gasket but it's really just the intake. I saved one from being scrapped that is actually a crate motor that I just put in my 85 S10 that a buddy gave me cause he thought it had a blown head with mixing coolant and oil but it never misfired and never smoked and sure enough that's all it was and now I have a healthy new engine and he putting a LS in his. But after seeing the side of the block and the freeze plug missing then it must be cracked or definitely screwed block on that red blazer and too bad that you're far away because I could really use that 700r4 transmission cause mine went out after putting a new torque converter in mine and making a few passes at the drag strip , was told by a mechanic shop that does Transmissions it sounded like the planetary gear tore up in it so basically it needs a rebuild but other than that it shifted just fine just makes a horrible noises and there was some metallic metal stuff in the filter when I dropped the pan .

So I got another transmission that's a 3-speed and I'm swapping that in it now and hopefully it will work we shall see . I'm also adding a transmission cooler this time so I don't blow this one up and it last hopefully . I did beat the Camaro I raced but on the second pass it cost me because I lost power and I knew something was wrong on the last pass turn on the way back home it was not acting right. Definitely looking for a 305-350v8 or something to drop in it and then a turbo 350 trans or maybe the v8 700r4 I'm not sure what would be best to handle the v8 better

I have a full set of sbc 400 flat top pistons on 400 rods if you're interested? If you don't already have flat tops one won't do you any good though. They are standard bore size low miles. They're "Claimer" pistons, whatever that means? IIRC they are Wolverine brand pistons I bought back in the mid 90s have been sitting for a while. It might take me a minute to find them if you're interested?

Are you sure that is a 400? Looks like a 350. Hard to tell from a picture though. The balancer looks like it's from a 350 too. The outer rim is cut down towards the block, that one looks like a neutral balancer. If that motor mount she'll wasn't on there you should be able to see either another freeze plug in the center if it's a 4 bolt main. Or if it's a two bolt main block it will have the freeze plug boss there but not machined out for a freeze plug. Make sure that is a 400 before you try to fix it.

Take the rods and crank out of that 400 and put them into a 350 make a 383 stoker motor cheap hp better than that 400.
