A very nice watch. The blue/ purple bezel insert is a great color combination, along with the black PVD coating. I’ve seen this limited edition model listed as an SBSC015. Are they the same model or is there a slight variation between the two?

This is the only video on the app that shows the color chages when light is reflected on them. It goes from purple blue to black and all over again. Grazy nice watch

You’re right that this watch kinda has an attitude. I already have the orange dial version but I’m really tempted to get this one 😅 that bezel color combination is really pretty and contrasts nice with black pvd case and bracelet.

Thanks for another great review! My two favourite brands are Tudor and Seiko. I own a Tudor BB58 and love the vintage aesthetic. I was considering purchasing either a Tudor Pelagos 39 or a Ginault Ocean Rover 2 as a more modern tool watch diver. I have seen tons of positive initial reviews for the OR2, but zero “long term” reviews for this timepiece on KZbin. Does anybody still keep this watch in their collection and wear and enjoy it after the honeymoon period, and how does it compare up against the Pelagos 39? I’d like to see if anyone misses brand heritage over time after getting used to the superb quality of the Ginault, which is what happened to me after owning a San Martin Sn0121. I don’t see the OR2 up for sale used on eBay often which should answer my question but I want to hear something solid from experienced owners and reviewers. Many thanks in advance. 👍🏽

Thank you for watching my friend. And for commenting 😊❤️ I don’t own the OR, but I have quite an extensive review on the channel, after a year of ownership. It truly is a great watch. But, I can only speak for myself here, I actually started to miss the brand heritage that you mention. After a while, when the honeymoon phases out, I found myself starting to miss that extra connection with the brand. Not the watch itself, because the connection you get with a specific watch is by wearing it. But with the brand Ginault itself. Now that I’ve collected watched for several years, and been interested in watches for several decades, that connection with the brand, that heritage, starts to become more and more important for some reason. Don’t know why, it just is what it is 🤷‍♂️ Have a great day 🌞

Got the Yuto Horigame non gmt the PVD coated is awesome mine has a rubber strap and it’s limited edition as well have lots of divers/sports watches like this PVD by Seiko it’s kind of rubber finish nice and very cheap ! All best man

I guess it comes down to what you prioritize. As I say in the video, if specs are the most important thing to you, Seiko ain’t the brand to buy. But if you’re most important thing is design, and you buy watches mostly based on how they look, then I get it. But there’s a reason brands like Seiko and Rolex can do this and still get customers buying their products. They’ve built up their brands through many years and that matters to people. And they do have great movements. Seikos aren’t the most accurate ones, not at this price category anyway, but they’re reliable and can last you a lifetime. But this is quite usual with brand in every type of product. iPhone is not the best phone, people keep buying them as crazy. Nike is not twice as good as Reebok in the shoes department, but they still cost twice as much. And so on 😊

@@backintimewatches Except Seiko USED to be the best bang for you buck, by a mile. Remember the $150 SKX007, 200m iso certified ?? Were they at today ?? 😉 They replaced it with this joke of Seiko 5 SSK, twice the money, half the W.R, not my kind of deal. But still the diver looks ? To fool the unaware maybe ?? Rolex in the other hand, they have every bit of quality to justify the price they're asking. If the market is willing to buy above that it's out of their hands. Nike managed to build a solid legacy with legendary shoes, Reebok not so much. And the iPhone while not exciting nor innovative is still one of the best phones on sale today.

It suits your style perfekt. Have fun with Seiko. I sold all Rolex watches ( not my day date) but all steel . Why because my marinemaster ore sumo and turtle give me more fun.( all with strapcode braceled) original is not the best. . Wish you all the best and 70tis and 80 tis are the best time forever.. mfg.
