I wasn't going to get this game initially because from the trailers I got "oh it's Atlus working on another notPersona" but playing the demo changed my mind completely. It WAS actually a 'notPersona' it was a hybrid of everything Atlus does well in their main series and man was I pleasantly surprised. Ended up buying it the same day, even with the demo incomplete. The story is engaging and one of the few games recently that I've gotten lost in. Reminds me of Atlus' old days, and I hope they continue with these gems.

Having a lot of fun so far. Only ten hours in but from the feel I'm getting, hard mode is at least going to be a challenge compared to p5 which was like easy mode no matter the difficulty. And press turn is just way better than the one more system imo

@@smeegy1 I’m 3 hours in……maybe?……but so far it’s been a fun ride. It’s really cool to see how they’ve implemented aspects from all the main line titles. The press turn battle mechanic from SMT, the social link system from Persona and the transformation mechanic from DDS all flow so seamlessly and I’m sure there are other things that I’ve yet to get into but I’m sure that’ll come with time.

I played well over 100 hours in the last 10 days and this game is a masterpiece. The only Dungeons i wasn't so keen of was the Vulcano and the door puzzle those gave me a headache... Great Vid as always. Can't wait for the next challenge run!

I was always interested in the battles in Persona but could never get past 3/4 of the games because I always got burnt out by the school stuff and the extremely forced bonding. This looks so much better and I'm so excited. Waiting on the install to finish now lol.

Just from watching the video it looks like you just talk with them instead of going out of weird dates and activities with them. It's already been a year since I've suggested this challenge run. Hopefully, you see it deus. For SMT nocturne, i think it would be a great challenge run. Rules are as follows 1. You can only recruit demons from the Shinjuku medical center. 2. You can fuse any of the demons from the SMC, but you can not use the campodium. And you can not fuse the demons again after the first fusion. (Since the very definition of a masocist is this channels slogan, you can throw an extra rule on there to where you can't fuse demons that would end up being above level 15-20) 3. You have to do the true demon ending. And you can not do any glitches that skip any dungeons/bosses (like the tunnels) 4. Demi fiend cannot use any physical moves aside from the basic attack. I hope you see this, Deus! I've never seen this challenge run done, and i can't think of anyone better to do it. (Day after edit) since pixie and preta are two demons you can get in the medical center you can use the labyrinth to get them but you cannot fuse them, you have to level them.

Played a demo yesterday on a event The game is freakin awesome combine the best elements from both persona and smt games That is it has the character focused and calendar story from the persona series with the combat greatness of the press tuen system as well as the political themes that are usually present in the smt games Only thing i disliked was the action combat

I think Metaphor has the exact same problem as every single Persona game, something that SMTV actually avoided, aka the overreliance on Physical skills. You get so many good physical boosting passives and attacks by level 10 when the first magic boosting skill you get is by level like 23. It's a horrible system because you just need to respec everybody into Physical and steamroll the game.

I feel like SmtV still fell into that hole even if to a lesser degree (just with a hint of Almighty Phys). Off the tip of my tongue Heavy Blow being available in the first area off of a very not threatening Boss is a bit much.
