Amazed they decided to be lazy this time. Fatalities are awesome in every game except for Armageddon and fatal blows are the same thing. Battle damage is cool. Combos are cool. The old school feeling is not there for me. Everything feels modern and some parts feel soulless like the invasion mode. This isn’t MK going back to its roots at all. Just another reboot. Atmosphere feels kinda soulless. Reptile’s backstory is cool but his design looks like an eboy. Kombat pack is good. Only thing I don’t like is Ermacs disfigured face. Stages are hit or miss just like MK11. MKX had some great stages though. MK9 had the best everything. There’s no yin and Yang in this game. Everyone including SHAO KAHN and Shang Tsung are morally grey. It’s also not even out yet. Most we get is 16 mins of a game mode. Definitely overhyped by the community. This mode especially was overhyped by the devs.

Looks dope fr, with high replay value. Especially the fact that you can select your own kharacter, and not have a default fixed one - and only unlock stuff for that kharacter selected - and have upgradeable attributes/stats and relics and stuff to equip. And the fact it's gonna get seasonal updates with more content and unlockables added over time..! It'll keep it fresh and engaging. I'm hype for it!

That caught my attention as well, as everything they've shown has him as part of the Lin Kuei, so that dialogue bit might be an unintentional spoiler. Though back in the Lin Kuei trailer there seemed to be an implication of tension between Scorpion/Smoke and Sub-Zero, which further supports the theory. I do hope they don't end up making Sub-Zero an outright villain in the late game though; I've rather liked his more heroic portrayal (even if that more heroic portrayal was primarily Kuai Liang (or however you spell it).

One thing i have noticed is that they separated the skins and their colour palletes, in MK11 you had different versions of a skin, which were all colour swaps, but it seems that here they separated, so now you unlock a skin, and can then unlock colour palletes for that specific skin.

mk1's invasion mode is basically world of light campaign from ssbu, and to be honest is way better than the previous way of getting skins and cosmetic items. the krypt from the last game was so cool and well done, but the major problem with it was the loot box-like system built within that was such a pain when you just wanted to pick a specific skin set or item.

Nothing seems exciting about mk 1 only but fans who are desperate to play it. If injustice 3 had this mode, it would be good but not for this mk 1. They had 5 years to only come up with the same shyt??? I don't see this game lasting longer than injustice 3 will..

This is a fresh new thing to unlock stuff, liking this so far! To me tho, it seems the most fun to get through the environment and just look for fun little easter eggs and situations like the Tarkatan in the sofa and the dead guy in the pool😂
