Re4 5 and revelations are the ones i liked. 5 is the worst of the 3 games but it's still good. Save yourself the time and dont torture yourself with 6

When I think of a perfect action game, RE4 is what I think of. It’s gameplay is addicting, the level variety is awesome, the weapons feel satisfying ESPECIALLY THE SHOTGUN, and there is creativity and imagination seeping from every corner. I always compare other modern AAA action games to RE4 when looking at pacing and level variety. The fact that I played it 10 years after it came out and still loved it to pieces speaks volumes of how timeless the design of this game is

Amazing video! When Resident Evil 4 came out I was only 12 years old was super scared to play this game on my GameCube. The chainsaw guy just gave me nightmares and when I got to the part with the invisible bugs I put it down for a few days. THEN the weird, twitchy mushy monster in that lab, my god. That one still low key creeps me out today too 😂 DAMNI it now you made me want to play this game again…. 😝

Everything was so perfect about that game. Even the music, the sounds, the timeless design. Almost perfect. We just needed hot keys for the weapons, other than that it's a true legend.

I love this game! October of this year I decided to start with RE1R and work my way through RE8, and if there is any time left I’ll go back through other games. RE4 is always a joy to go through once again. Sure it’s a bit clunky, but it’s cool to hear that nostalgia goggles for me aren’t blinding my love for this game and this series in general. I made the Professional difficulty a little easier simply by Unlocking Ashley’s secondary outfit:The Suit of Armour, and I found it easier to beat Professional difficulty since it makes Ashley damn near invincible this all I had to manage was Leon’s health and ammo

Dude this game is easily my all time #1 favorite. This game scared me when I played at the age of 12 and even today I'm still playing it once in a while. I think Mercenaries is dope too. Got to play it on a gamecube then on a PS2 and now own it on PC. I don't think this game needs a remake. It already has a HD release and it kicks ass today in 2021. But I'm excited to see this remake. Even if its trash, I still got the Original and HD release. Anyone remember the Chainsaw Remote?

Which is basically a Clock Tower game. Unfortunately, it's an extremely rare/expensive game, and not available in digital format.

I love this game's adaptive difficulty. If you're really good, conserve ammo and never get hit, you're basically playing on the highest difficulty. Then actually playing on professional adds a massive layer of difficulty, and enemies now become that much stronger. The krauser fight took me so many tries cause I just kept running out of ammo, and didn't know the knife is the most effective weapon against him. At least it's not like re5's highest difficulty, where getting hit by pretty much anything puts you in the imminent death state. It made the Wesker and Jill fight so excruciatingly difficult.

8:08 I actually find this interesting that people playing RE4 for the first time would find these parts out of place. Now I can kinda understand why Facebook would remove these parts in the VR version. Granted I'm not ok with stripping them from an existing product in a new medium because that's censorship, but if they didn't do those scenes in the remake I'd be fine with it.

What Brett said about story in this is such a great way to appreciate something that most people complain about. I am a huge Borderlands fan and in BL2 and BL3 the objective essentially said right in the start is, kill Handsome Jack or kill the Calypso Twins. Such an off topic comment but I just find it so mind boggling how many people give BL such a hard time for story when what Brett said is pretty much that simplistic 'go do this' story is refreshing. Now on topic, till I watched this I never realized how much they took away from RE4 and put into RE8. really interesting and I think shows they are looking in the right place for future inspiration. It's only hard for newbies The difficulty adjusts depending how good you're doing. if your dying alot the difficulty adjusts to accomadate your skill level. This is often exploited by speed runners. If you want to try RE4 please don't be put off by them saying it's hard. It isn't. But it will take an adjustment of gameplay style for those that have never played it.

Say what you will about the controls, but I think aiming at the very least needs some tweaking. For starters, the default laser-sight is too faint and doesn't contrast at all with the environment, to the point that if you have even mild color-blindness it might as well not exist. This is made worse by the fact that the camera doesn't track your aim, so you can't even use the center of the screen as a ballpark, so you often find yourself losing track of where your gun is pointed. Thankfully, you can change the laser color by editing a config file, but that's only an option on PC, and really I see no reason why it isn't an option in-game. I really wish you could center-lock your aim as well, it feels extremely awkward trying to deflect thrown weapons or shoot sticks of dynamite when you have to rely on non-existent depth perception to tell if you're even aiming at it.

Another thing to add is that the aiming is way too slow. I hope they increase the sensitivity in the remake. I mean, I guess playing the Wii version fixes this issue, but I shouldn't have to play a different, older version just to get more fluid aiming via motion controls

RE4 is a great, great game. An all time great even BUT it was not a good RE game. It should have been a new IP. RE hasn't had the same tone/feel since 1-3.

Leon might be the bad guy in the story, like the entire village is full of innocent people taken over by the virus, and Leon and Ashley goes around enjoying themselfes by slaughtering the villagers, Ashley even does that "Yes!" thing with her arm everytime you kill someone😂
