John your personality and affable "just have fun with it" nature is needed in the competitive sphere! People like you and Wolfey grow the scene and open more opportunities and bigger budgets which turns into bigger prizes and possible scholarships and money for school for younger people who get into the competitive scene because of you, it's the circle of life lol. I'd be super into some VGC/Singles content on PM7 Plus, and the occasional Collab with some of the more competitive driven channels. Your skills, chill, style(and editor's style) could (and currently do) mean a lot to the community.

Man, I can't help but feel John got suuuper unlucky. Matched up against the one person he didn't wanna fight first, and then both of Wolfey's teams had answers to everything. Competitive Pokemon is hard for a competition series like the JMC. When I was up against a player of Wolfey's caliber he beat me easily, but then when up against everyone else in the tournament I was able to win my way to losers finals and almost took Joey out. Mikey's not a bad battler, but I would have such an unfair advantage in any battle against him that it would ruin a lot of the fun I think for him and viewers

I love how the real ones know that PM7 is a competitive problem. Its like an anime where the goofy “side character” is actually the most powerful and can wreck the world on Saitama levels of destruction while making bad dad jokes lol I started watch PM7 many many many moons ago when it was VGC so those “fans” bashing him doesn't understand this man’s competitive 30d chess brain. I really enjoyed you videos and watched (well listened to) a bunch of old ones while I was working. I started playing pokemon showdown 3 days ago 1st day building teams 2nd started playing national dex But in the 2nd day i tried random battles before building a new team for national dex my first experience was destroying the enemy with scorvillain by either chipping away with leech seed then protect and sub or flamethrower one shot

Sometimes cool pokemon just aren't viable to be used in a playthrough. Starters are OP, but if you have a butterfree than it makes the game super hard.
