For Wattson, you could have fished for a Volt Absorb Chinchou in three fishing routes close to Mauville city. In Slateport city, there is a patch of grass that gives you electric types, giving you a guaranteed way to check Chinchou's ability before catching it. Worst case scenario, you are down by three encounters with no way of safely winning against Wattson. Besides, that is far for three attempts. 👍💯 I am not a Hardcore Kaizo, but I used Growth Sunflora and Magic Coat Grumpig to barely win in my fight against Wattson

Would love to see you try and beat EK hardcore nuzlocke, however, I also hope it wont end up in some boring "1 fight per stream" calculation fest as other nuzlockers. I really dont enjoy the hyper min-maxed content as it's just so predictable and lame, but at the same time I doubt that the game can be beaten in a more casual manner. Might be a good way to attract subs too, given how notorious this game is among the nuzlocking youtube community. Your call honestly, love your stuff either way.

Yeah I get that, sometimes people go overboard with damage cals. I might look into trying this again, but as you say I have no idea if it's possible without like calculating every fight and reallly minmaxing, which doesn't found super fun to me personally

Honestly, you made some great progress within just 3 attempts! From what I understand this game takes many attempts to complete as a hardcore nuzlocke, so you did an awesome job here. I’d def consider revisiting this over time until you eventually claim victory!

On Hardcore Mode, Radical Red is definitely on the same level as Emerald Kaizo for the most part.

In kaizo you don't have EVs, and good moves are exclusive to NPC's. You have bad and mediocre moves, no good items, some Pokémon (good ones) are inaccessible... Radical red, on the other hand, is like playing competitive. So yeah. Kaizo is more difficult
