This game mode and other riot games is a good indicator that they are skilled at making more types of games than just their MOBA. @@fahmiluthfi7991 They have hit a super niche spot in wich having bad balancing is exactly what sells for them, they intentionally keep some things unbalanced only to nerf/buff them in the next season, forcing people to play other champs or return to old ones. Most people like this as it keeps the game "fresh" without adding too much content (all they add is generally new items and a 2-4 new champs each year, its little new content compared to eveything else already in the game). Theyve hit this very weird sweet spot of making sales of an old product while having this facade of rebalancing constant updates, kind of like minecraft.

I played "Witchcraft Survivors" the last couple of days. It feels and looks like Vampire Survivors. TFT and Underlords were inspired by Auto Chess(a mod created by the community in dota 2), but TFT dominated the genre and Underlords failed miserbly. Riot took inspirtations from valve only not copies. anyways, Let’s just enjoy the games instead of comparing.

Valorant is slightly smaller than CS2 but as a guy who prefers CS, a lot of the current players are bots farming cases. In DM and Casual, half the players are just bots spinning in place and headshots you if you shoot them. Legends of runeterra is genuinely a good game, I wouldn't say it's better than hearthstone but it's a good competitor. Not to mention the *content* Riot releases around their games are phenomenal. I mean Arcane is literally the best rated animated show from a western studio. It's amazing how freaking Chinese companies treats their IPs better than western companies like Disney, EA and ubisoft.

When you press TAB you see the corresponding trait of every spell. Eg. Static (lightning) needs health, which means you only can evolve statics (from 5 to 6) if you have health with it. Rule of thumb: look at your unique champion spell (jinx the minigun-blaster) and see what is scales with (hover above it and it shows on the bottom, damage, ability haste, crit etc. Then you can get the other spells that go with this too. So you try to get crit, dmg, ability haste etc + the traits to upgrade the other spells. You can, by level, get every spell to lvl 5, but to upgrade (evolve) it to 6 you need the corresponding trait. This is crucial to get it done on higher difficulty. If you can't win solo, you will likely also not win with 2 or more (because its more difficult then). Also, always leave as many cards on the floor as needed to evolve your spells from 5to6. You can only evolve them with the cards a boss drops. Espcially when you play with 4, it is important, because otherwise some people will not be able to evolve all the spells (and you need it).

There are two main grips and kinda a third. So the kinda gripe is aatrox can be cheesed. If you kite him he will not do the giant slams that move you around, making the fight so much easier. My 1st gripe is I wish there were more characters. I read that they only planned on 6 and rushed 3 of them. I thinking having like 20 would have been a great number considering league has over 100. My 2nd gripe is the game mode itself but the windows xp client. It's bugs out selecting maps, navigating the battle pass, clicking to fast can randomly swap characters and difficulties and it's so annoying. I think everyone would appreciate if they skipped character balance and making new skins and characters if they just like a month to work on the client. Everyone would appreciate it

It's very solid, but solo hard mode is near impossible and forget about extreme. I've been running hard with a duo and finally beat Rek'sai after like 30 plus attempts. Game is balanced around 3-4 players so it's very challenging

Vampire Survivors like game suggestions: - [Witchcraft Survivors] It feels like a copy of VS, so if you enjoyed it it's basicly just more to enjoy. (roughly 15-20 hours of gameplay to max and do everything) - [Keepers Toll] It's Soulslike inspired. The 1.0 version comes out "soon". (Fun but didn't play that much of it yet) - [Scarlet Tower] Fun and good looking game. The rounds can feel "samey" because of the weapon combinations but fun nevertheless. (Takes time to go up the difficulty on all maps)

it doesn't though? Even endgame it's very rare to see enemies in vampire survivors that have any kind of mechanic or gimmick associated with them. Most of the fun aspects of VS come from exploring the levels and finding secrets but the enemies/mechanics are actually its weakest point. This one actually has a few interesting projectile patterns, aoes and such for you to avoid. Having active skills makes gameplay more involved straight away, as does the option for manual aim. All it's lacking is VS's huge levels of content.

My general issue with chain lightning type abilities in a survivors type game is that since enemy density just goes up, its relative damage just goes down compared to just plain aoe. Since chain lightning has a hard cap on how many targets it can bounce to. Granted in games with lower mob density it is still very strong since it extends you effective range by a lot

after you evolve it it also does AOE dmg around the targets it hits. imo it's the best aoe ability at that point.

you should look at the "Objectives" tab and do them to unlock more stuff. For example, play every character to a certain lvl. Each champion will give new unlocks while reaching the right lvl. There are many objectives that will simply make you stronger. Also, Leona is not bad, she's REALLY strong as a tank if played right. My personal favourite champions are as follows. 1: Briar 2: Yasuo 3: Jinx (I always play full crit mashine gun on her) if RNG does not screw me over. 4: Xaya 5: Leona In that order tho they all are REALLY close together. Briar is basically immoortal in story mode (first difficulty) on every map, if played correctly and still strong in every difficulty, making it my #1 champion!

Reminder swarm is meant to be a co-op experience. Some of the characters are "bad" solo, because they're meant to be tanks/Supports to the dps "solo" characters

Not really. This game is designed just like other survival games-you grind a lot, and you can solo with any champion. There are even quests in the game that require you to play with Leona or Sera alone and accomplish challenging tasks. Personally, I enjoyed playing them solo.

The first 4 maps are the tutorial. Once you beat those you get matchmaking island on hard mode and the real game begins.

Its actually braindead that this single player PVE game mode requires Ping. For country's that don't have servers in their countries this game mode feels so choppy and unstable because of 200 ping against AI
