Oh right, Ash Blossom and Ghost Belle are tuner zombies, running at least Belle to avoid getting blown up by Called by the Grave might be useful. Eldlich can also turn them into indestructible 1000/3800 walls temporarily, which is funny when that's enough to close out a game.

Zombies are my favorite monster type, this is going to be good! BTW Hardleg if you ever do a N/R format challenge with zombies, you can get a very decent vampire deck with those restrictions (it gets even better with URs and SRs, vampires can easily make Beatrice so you can ensure both banshee and balerdroch hit the graveyard).

Loved those transitions here and the editing like with this random singing intermission while the opponent combos off for 10 minutes. I'm sure you could have reached the D1 if you e.g. went for the branded zombies from the start. But I prefer how you mess around with completely different versions of a deck. Even if you don't reach the final goal due to lack of practice with one thing, it's more entertaining to see a bunch of different approaches. Maybe some of the best moments when playing Skull Servants: When you basically go "ho? You can deal with one 10k skelly boi? How about a second one?" This here also shows the thing about Grass. People often cry about how this should be banned because "muh, 20 cards advantage". Sure, if it resolves, it's "often" a "guess I win" button. But Grass decks always are a gamble with a couple problems... - Good luck resolving Grass in a world where Ash is glued to everyone's hand (or Maxx, which also f's you) - it's inherently inconsistent, since you basically have to run 60 cards. You gotta draw those 3 cards out of 60, idealy with your 2-off called by....AND your own handtraps when you need them. - You can boost your chances of drawing Grass with Left Arm Offering. But this gives your opponent a prime Ash target. If you can't kill after giving your left arm, you lose. - You might just hit exactly the wrong things. Best moment when you mill all your Zombie Worlds while Banshee comfortly hides in the deck. - On those regular MD ladders you surprisingly often see some jank decks or even "meta" decks that run ~50 cards, because they for some reason have to include a bunch of Mirror Forces or other random one-offs.

a thing I like about zombies is that because it is a type focused playstyle you can also pair it up with archetypes that are also zombies which makes it a lot of fun to find good synergies between cards

IMO the reason this deck couldn't cut it is because two things: First off Zombies are simply too slow in setting up strong presences, meaning that while they can put up solid difficult to deal with boards you have too many moving parts necessary meaning that disruption or simply poor draws drastically drops the potential of this deck. Second, the end boards this deck makes simply aren't very impressive, yeah they can shut some things down and really interrupt play they simply don't get the payoff that really just equates to the POWERFUL bullshit this meta churns out much faster. Its a cool deck but its simply not potent enough nor efficient enough to make that jump to real meta contention.

What's good about this series is the more he progress the less amount of gems he needs to spend to make decks as he's getting UR cards in the progress for other decks in the future *unless he just dismantle those cards without a care*

He usually does consider whether or not a card would be useful to him in future before deciding to dismantle it or not, so they are dismantled with *some* level of care.

I'm pretty stingy with what I dismantle. If it's an archetype I think is even possible to play in the future, I'll usually hold onto it. I've got a bunch of blue-eyes stuff and even some IceJades, for instance.

50 card grass deck didn't work because of 45-46 card deck, but the problem is Joe always believe that 40 card is better than 45-46 when imo there are some cases where 45-46 is better, particularly if your deck have enough starter/extender but have hard garnets. You reduced the chance to draw the hard garnets and there is enough starter / extender that the ratio and chance of drawing starter doesn't change much in the 45-46 card deck. This is the philosophy of the tenyi halqdon pile deck and why they play above 40 even without grass because they have some hard garnet and a lot of starter.
