In the modeling industry, even if you are the "perfect model", people will still treat you like an object. So even if a girl is lucky to be "pretty enough" in the industry, she will not have a better time than the rest of the models. Which is very interesting.

met someone who was a modeling agent. they said models were just "human hangers", so yeah. even if you look perfect by their standards they'll probably give you the same amount of respect they give to an inanimate object

Not really. When you model, all that that matters is what you look like. It's a great when expectations are that clear.
@liilahh52264 ай бұрын
@1w598 that's completely fair, but even so everyone is still humans, like even if that is the standard when it comes to modelling, and don't get me wrong I understand that looks is quite literally everything when it comes to modelling (like it's literally a job based on your looks) every single person is human and they all deserve to feel like they are worth more than your looks (bc you are!!, like she said in the video we will all end up looking like raisins 🤣) at the end of the day a job is just to get money so we can thrive, there's honestly no point in existing on this earth if you aren't happy and enjoying it (why put yourself through the pain and hardship of living through life (bc let's be honest it sucks ass) if you aren't enjoying it.) I love y'all and hope you find a way to be happy on this earth ❤
@lisa_wistfulone79574 ай бұрын
@@1w598 “Clear expectations” sounds enviable until you look at what’s expected- constant judgment and criticism, frequent rejection that’s given with demeaning “feedback”, no emotional support, no concern for your mental health, and no other fun or interests allowed in your life. Actually, that sounds like an abusive relationship… When those things are normal expectations, the healthy move is to leave.

Good for you for making the choice to quit the modeling industry! By leaving the modeling industry, you are prioritizing your own well-being and happiness over external validation and societal pressures. It's important to remember that there are many paths to fulfillment and success, and the modeling industry is just one of them. Your decision to leave opens up new opportunities for personal growth and exploration, allowing you to find a path that truly aligns with your values and passions. Keep going, and don't be afraid to forge your own unique path in life.

That was actually really wholesome. Thanks for sharing your journey.. I wasn’t ever a model but I was a dancer for 12 years, basically most of my childhood till I was 18.. it wasn’t quite to that extreme, but the pressure of being a ballet dancer and having a very specific “image” was always in the back of my mind and definitely did have some correlation to insecurities I developed later on that I didn’t even realize were there until the last year or so of my performing. I’m glad you got out and are healthier!

Hey I know this has nothing to do with it, but here’s a chocolate chip cookie recipe: Butter-1 cup (cold cubed) Brown Sugar- 1 cup Sugar- 3/4 cup Eggs- 2 large Vanilla- 2 teaspoons Flour- 2 3/4 cups Cornstarch- 1 teaspoon Baking soda- 3/4 teaspoon Salt- 3/4 teaspoon Choc. Chips- 2 1/2 cups 1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees 2) In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and sugar for 4 minutes until light and fluffy. 3) Add eggs and vanilla. Mix for 1 minute longer. 4) Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. 5) Mix just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips. 6) scoop cookie dough onto baking sheets. 7)Bake for 8-11 minutes or until the edges just begin to turn a light golden color. Try it!!!❤❤❤❤❤
