Bully is great, but I think the journey is better than the destination. Besides the reward of getting to kick Gary's ass, I didn't feel any huge catharsis when beating the game. But I enjoyed every moment leading up to it

Bully is actually my favourite game of all time. I just adore the setting and atmosphere and it's brilliant story and characters. It's also the only game I've completed 100% because finding all the collectibles and hidden areas and doing all the side missions were just so much fun in this excellently crafted world

This fucking game man. Cold winternights (and days), jobless with disposable income for at least a year (aka all the time of the world without worries), the perfect controller (ps2) and the washed out colors that add to the atmosphere to the game. If I think back at the period that I binged this game (without preconceived notion of bully prior to playing it) I only have great dreamy memories.

I hope Rockstar makes another Bully game I played Bully to death both on Ps2 and on PC. I used a program called Xpadder which enables you to use a gamepad on pc. It's easier to achieve 100% completion in the Scholarship edition because all rubber bands are shown on the map if I remember correctly. I actually liked aggressive NPCs alot the most fun I had with Bully was at the beginning when everybody hates your guts and wants to pick a fight, it was like constant mayhem especially with those sporty meatheads. I just wish the combat was more challenging and when you beat the main storyline everyone respects you and no one wants to fight you, that sucks. If you liked bully I recommend the warriors it's really hardcore.

I still believe Bully is the best GTA Rockstar ever made. There are rumors that their next game is supposed to be Bully 2, but honestly, with modern Rockstar, I’m sure they won’t be able to recapture what made Bully so great. Buuuuuuut, the original composer is supposed to be onboard for the sequel, so that’s great news. Also, if you’re yearning for more depth to Bully’s combat, you should try Rockstar’s The Warriors, which is actually kinda similar to Bully, but with more combos and moves. No guns at all in that game, just fists and whatever you can find on the streets.

This review is old, but i recommend you guys to search in the pcgamingwiki when you install a game. Bully has a patch called “the silent patch“thay fixes framerate problems, increases the FOV and has propper controller suport

The other I found a game on a flea market that really pick my eye....it's called "Knights Of The Temple II"... As always I didn't even heard or knew this game existed....I purchase the game and it's very good on his own way, but the first thing I notice when I play it was that this game in particular reminds me A LOT to Dark Souls... the mechanics, the environment, the feels and even the dificulty is ver, very like to Dark Souls.... and as far as I search, this game was realised only in Europe (That will explain why the game was in Spanish from Spain :P ) Anyway, the game seems like a little hidden gem if you're interested in check it out it. It's not the first time I found a "game mechanic" popularized by "new games" on games more than 10 years old.... like Gears Of Wars is like "Kill Switch" for me, for the covering mechanics... :P

the PC port isn't that bad dude...get a 10-15$ controller and download x360ce(literally less than 5 minutes to set up and then you can pretty much copy paste the files it creates into other game directories(works on a LOT of games outright but game like dark souls 2 might need a bit of a tweak to work(and this is really REALLY RARE)...although still not hard if you poke around in the options of x360ce)) and...that's it really...i mean i added a graphical mod to make the game look a TINY bit more sunny but even that is easy...look at the steam guides on its community hub(the game i mean) but that is optional...it works and looks fine on its own(yeah the menu is wonky, but with a controller its wonky the same way it's wonky for consoles)

I would love a Bully 2 set in a College in the 1970's inspired by all the college and sex comedies from the 70's and 80's. You know Porky's, Animal House, ect. You know since it's the 70's, you could get away with a lot more ridiculous over the top subject matter like pantie raids, hazing, war protesters, etc. Rockstar is always great at taking film sub genre's and making entire games around them while bringing their similar South Park styled satire to the forefront.

The fuck are you talking about by clunky combat? It may not be no Batman Arkham but the PS2 Rockstar era had really good hand to hand combat, especially games like San Andreas and Bully. The HD Universe, with the exception of GTA IV, has clunky combat.
@Tentacle7 жыл бұрын
The way in which you've dressed Jimmy... It makes him look like a back up band member from Happy Monday's. Big fan of this game and the port does indeed suck for PC. Which is a shame, since it's the 360 build (Which itself is an improved build of the Wii game) It adds some new missions, two new classes to partake in and some minor little extras.

Why is that Rockstar's non-GTA games are some of the most interesting ones ever. Like this, The Warriors, RDR and Rockstar presents Table Tennis.
@thorhighheels8 жыл бұрын
Well they have lots of money and creative people working there, so it would make sense that their "side projects" are this good. Same with DiCE taking a break from Battlefield games all those years ago, and making Mirror's Edge. Or with Square pumping out little gems like Parasite Eve and Einhander, in between the onslaught of FF games. back on the PS1

I don't. I just take what the game gives me, and this is what it gave me.
@GuyOnAChair8 жыл бұрын
ThorHighHeels That can't be. How do you capture footage?
@thorhighheels8 жыл бұрын
Yet it is. I use a Roxio Game Capture HD and official component cables from Sony. It's not my capture though, it looks like this when I play, even without recording. Sometimes there's letter boxing, sometimes there's side bars, sometimes it close to 16:9. Nothing much I can do about it other then force 4:9 on everything which looks horribly grainy and compressed. Besides, I prefer it this way.
