You know, with Dragon Riding, they could potentially port it over to other mounts, with different flight models depending on the mount. Helicopters and such could get true hovering, mounts like flying carpets are the old WoW swimming through the air... etc etc. It would make mount collecting so much more dynamic.

I know that it is alpha, but since the armor on the dracthyr is through customization and not actual gear from in-game, I would 100% like to see the armor NOT clip thru parts of the head like the fins things on the jaw or the ears or horns. They should definitely have cut outs for them

They dragon run animation is too bouncy when in between flying charges. They need to elongate the stride and make it a heavier, slower animation but still covering the same distance at the same speed. Would make it less janky feeling.

When it comes to "Alpha is alpha", I feel that really only works when it's something that's clearly not working. Like the 'Fly By' ability that glitched: Obviously it doesn't work as intended, so alpha is alpha. But when it comes to the talent designs: No, it's not glitched or anything, it's something that could very well stay the way it is. So if there are things people don't like: Bring them up, say you don't like them. Besides, they did promise to listen to feedback "for real" this time, no?

As a DK, the blood and frost trees both have a lot of cool new abilities and builds. I think there's some really cool stuff in the talent systems, it's not a big revamp to classes, but I think a lot of people will get a cool new experience. Priest has some new abilities as well, even if Shadow is in a rough spot. I think people will get what they want out of the talent system, especially if they don't just copy and paste existing builds.

It told you not to make a invoker because it's considered an advanced class, and technically your Alpha account had no characters on it so you were considered to be a brand new player. If I remember right there used to be a similar warning for demon hunters and death Knights when they started at a much higher level if your account was considered a new player account

I like the idea of curated quest lines at character creation. So depending upon how you define your backstory, you can have a linear progression through the better quest lines in the expansions. So instead of doing the hunting quest lines where it’s just grind x of mob, have the quest lines with the stories

I must admit, I am very much looking forward to the Dracthyr customization & fighting styles, & being able to add more action bars (warriors just have SO many attacks, damage mitigation, & battle shouts) being included as a base feature, instead of having to download a separate addon. I am hopeful they will add the same levels of customization to all the other races in the near future.

they could have done more with the Glide ability for the dragon class. I just see demon hunter in a new skin BUT loving the look of those long range abilities. Thing is, unless this becomes a behomoth, its literally just another expansion. I feel bad because I am really jaded from the last few expansions. I have played since just before WotLK dropped and have always been real excited about expansions but I honestly dont feel anything for this and I dunno if that just means I have outgrown the game (which totally could be the reason) or its missing the wow factor.

Aoe size doesn't really matter as long as it reaches a decent circle. If anything being too massive can get kinda sketchy for dungeons. Think hunter Barrage/Starfall. It depends on how much damage said abilities do.

Re: talents, I like the direction they have gone in however I have to say I am really disappointed at the clear lack of new spells and abilities. Many talents we have seen are just passives already baked into classes that now require a talent point, or existing covenant abilities. Like I said, I think it is an improvement overall but still a disappointing one. I think that is why I am so excited about Dracthyr, just because they're new and fresh, whilst I worry many other classes and specs will remain stagnant.

I started playing again from a 10 year break recently and I am really enjoying it. I last played in cataclysm. I will play the old expansions later in my own pace. I leveled up mostly using dungeons LFG. You don't have to play all the expansions you have missed etc you can play in your own way. I think the game is much better now than when I last played

Dont be overwhelmed, read up a bit on your class and start from there. Extremely easy to catchup. Wowhead and youtube is your friend

WoW isn't like FFXIV where you have to go through each expansion, the newest stuff is all that's relevant. All the older systems like covenants, azerite, etc. don't matter anymore. WoW is still about getting to endgame, doing chores and instanced content. Not sure if you were around for Mythic+ or not - they introduced scaling dungeons in 2016 so you no longer progress from dungeons to raids and ignore the dungeons, they both remain relevant. They reduced the level cap so leveling isn't as much of a slog, you do miss more story but it's not very good anyway. Really the only big changes with Dragonflight are talents (which are pretty basic) and crafting. The last two expansions have also been pretty bad and it looks like they're rushing this one so it would be better to wait and see how it turns out.

Modern games have activities going on at all times to keep players interested. If leveling is boring, many will not come back and stay. Give us more worldwide options for events. I want to be flying through searing gorge and find an event where dragons have for some reason or another taken a foothold there, and I can get involved, and it be beneficial/fun to take part in, they can drop a pepper that gives me a speed boost for all I care, just do something more than this dry quest grind. I go on to GW2 a game from yeeeeaaaarsss ago, and I can get involved in world events. Blizz is still sleeping

Kill 10 monsters, collect 10 items, mark 10 monsters, lead 10 horses, escort this shmuck. Its used. I'd figure a game company as renowned as blizzard would have already found an innovative way to upgrade old ideas of leveling systems, with their 18 years in game design. Don't let me forget, ariel bomb these 1000 monsters that do nothing but path in circles. funnn

Nail the class talent tree and combat, nail the professions and the quality system, nail the new class/race, nail dungeons fun factor and loot, make all that on time for launch and this will be an amazing expansion. Having said that: dont pre-order!!!

Everything I've seen so far is that they are going to miss the mark on most things and some of the talent trees (feral and shadow) are so far off the mark they feel like someone that has never played the class thought them up over their lunch break.

The talent trees so far look poor as hell. Nothing special and really dull. Nothing giving it the wow factor. No big powers to aim for and make you feel powerful.. yea the zone looks nice. Dragon flying is..... well its flying. I can fly in all other zones. So I'm not excited much. The new race looks like it will get boring fast. And what's end game? There is ALOT to get right before release. And they have never delivered this right so I'm not hyped at all atm.

I really hope this expansion is good, if my only problem is there's not enough time to play both, that would be great. If not, I'll only have to focus on Wrath and have plenty of other time to play some singleplayer titles this year.

I sort of wish dragonriding had better visuals, like different/fluent animation transitions depending on where you aim/ if you fly up or down etc. Just looks very stiff. But maybe they will tweak this, or you need upgrades for it etc.

As a viewer, the design is super good now! I know BfA got praise for looking good, but this zone looks great in the right away. It is beautiful and natural, the scale of the nature and trees are super good. You know how depressing it is being in the old zones like Ashenvale, and with flying being a thing, what previously made flying a turn off was because it didn't match the environment, these zones need to be scaled up and GREAT in size, something that BfA and legion lacked (arguably except Stormheim)

That's the real problem with wow and you consider purchase price plus subscription and if there is and in game store, all from company that brought us Diablo immortal I have 0 hope for the future of this game and at the moment the company. I am excited to see the iteration on the talent trees. The talent tree feature is a great way to build in customization without relying on things that vanish every expansion. How they take feedback and make changes is going to prove if Blizzard has really changed or not.

Cool class design, wow is moving out of the old spells where you either are in LOS and using to a more dinamic and intresting spell usage But with that said, I dont see this working at PVP at all, having to drag a cone spell to hit your enemy or expecting they to stand still as you do your flying attack

The walking animation for the proto drake type is literally seizure inducing. Waaaay too fast! I was really hoping they would slow that down significantly, much like the proto drake class mounts from Legion. The existing proto drake mounts have this same fast animation and that is the reason I cannot ride them. Such a shame because I think they are the coolest mounts in the game! I couldn't even watch you ride it in this video. D: Bell, can you please, please feedback this?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've always hated the proto drake animations as well. Big things lumber and small things are twitchy. Seeing a big thing move twitchy is weird for me. If the proto drake lumbered around and had big slow wing flaps when flying, I think I'd like it a lot more.

I'm a BM player and I'm very excited with the BM talent tree. the potential burst aoe for m+ is going to be amazing. Being able to take barrage, stampede, explosive shot and death chakram is going to produce some sick damage hopefully.

For me a lot of it is yes they can make new things that feel good and are fun, but can they put in the work to make the basics feel better. Crafting and the classes that already exist need work even if the rest of dragonflight is amazing
