FYI when we bought our last home it had a mixture of carpet and tuscan looking tile throughout the whole house. We were able to lay hardwood flooring over all the tile and then they used leveler in the doorways that led to the carpeted bedrooms. Most of the doors needed to be trimmed at the bottom but that was no big deal.

you can actually put luxury vinyl plank on top of tile so you don't need to rip it out. that's what we did on my renovation

@@shelbychurchvlogs If you do that, you have to make sure it's a flat tile, the grout is still set, that your floors won't have large drops in and out of other rooms, and especially check door clearances. While some people do it, it's not always recommended.

The vibe of starting again after a break is VERY real! 2) That first house is meant to be a tear down, unfortunately - note the apartments right next door. 3) I am painting my house interior right now and thought about getting a sander and getting the texture off but the dust and trouble was not worth it. I am just painting using a matte finish to give more of a velvet look to the walls. The second house is VERY doable, though! 3) The third one does not feel safe.

It’s very simple. There is no such thing as free health care and there is nowhere near enough rich people to cover that through taxes. You have to lack an understanding of economics to believe that makes sense. YOU, not “rich people” are paying for it. We got free health care for many new people, now you have big inflation and it costs hundreds or thousands more per month for the same price house. Imagine free health care for EVERYONE... would destroy our already 31 trillion in debt economy. The things you have been getting are borrowed and now China is trying to take over the dollar which will decrease your buying power even more on the global scale. Sadly people like you have literally ruined everything good we could be having right now because you don’t understand anything you vote for.

Insurance companies are such scams.... my mom had a minor stroke in 2019. They were going to charge her 55k for the helicopter ride.. she fought with them and ended up paying like 500 dollars... its a crime.

I literally can't wrap my mind around the fact that US-Americans are somewhat okay with paying 8000 $ from a deductible :O I live in Germany, pay 122€ per month for my public insurance and if I had to get something like a kidney transplant or chemotherapy, my bill wouldn't come close to that amount. On average a hospital stay alone costs about 10€ a day, not more than 280€ per year. The rest is covered by my insurance. For the treatment or medication itself I would also have to pay just a very very small amount. Being severely ill will not cause anyone debt in Germany.

I liked #2 except for that faux-deck. Not sure but that rusty thing look like connected to heating/air condition. We bought a condo/townhouse in Southern CA and we had same issue with old heating/ac. Cost 11,000 for whole thing ( but we had to hire crane and bunch of other b.s.). Just an F.Y.I. Good luck on search!💚💚🍀🍀 Edit: When inspector told us about the wonky ac we did negotiate with previous owner about lowering price due to how much we would have to pay for new ac/heating system. Of course, he said yes.😉

At my parents seaside 55 and older community I get dirty looks from residents if I'm alone at the pool and my parents have been asked by a resident if I'm living with them which I'm not. I had been there 3 days. There's a maximum day stay-over policy per year. I know every place is different but I found the much older folks (like 70 and up) to be really territorial and not very nice.I hope your parent's place is different.

No one can afford a starter home in California! National average is $350,000 but in California one costs $800,000! Short advice don’t buy to flip in California because you’ll be stuck with property you can’t unload. Real estate prices have no connection to income. My parents bought a starter house in 1974 for $25,000 and its only gotten worse with time. California is a hot mess.

FYI, at this time any pickleball court in the USA will need you to sign up ahead of time, they are so in demand! :) That first house that beam is supporting the entire house, you can see the beam it is holding up.
