So impressive! A PLUS TARD destroys Betfair Chase rivals

WOW! Rachael Blackmore makes her first visit to Haydock Park a memorable one as A Plus Tard absolutely bolts up by 22 lengths in the Betfair Chase.
A close second to stablemate Minella Indo in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March, the Henry de Bromhead-trained runner was the 11-10 favourite to make a victorious reappearance on Merseyside.
Ridden with supreme confidence by Rachael Blackmore, A Plus Tard settled well off the early pace set by Bristol De Mai and Royale Pagaille and was still cantering in behind as the race really began with four to jump.
Bristol De Mai, a three-times race winner, was the first to really give way, with A Plus Tard making effortless ground to come upsides Royale Pagaille and assume control with the minimum of fuss.
Blackmore barely had to move as A Plus Tard kicked on approaching the second-last, clearing the final obstacle in style to coast home by 22 lengths from Royale Pagaille.

Hard to say..indo is two from two there which is a huge plus..if he goes to the king george and wins well be hard to ignore him sure jack kennedy or whoever there thinking off is delighted.

A plus tard ,flat track I think suits best .He looked awesome in the hands of Rachel Blackmore. I backed him in the gold cup behind Minella Indo ,and albeit against some old pretenders today couldn't do it any easier . He's a must to follow throughout the season ,with of course Allaho . Had him A plus tard and Buzz at Ascot in another patent with Itchy Feet who I have now given up with .

I love the horse to bits, and keep thinking back to how much of a cert he was for his novice handicap at Cheltenham a couple of years back, (did me a big favour), but... he's beat a heavy ground loving horse in 2nd and two handicappers in 3rd and 4th. He should be beating them hands down to be honest, still nice to see his accellaration on the bridle though.

Oh yes,it was time form actually happened, a plus tard,bravemansgame,bob olinger all won,it forms the backbone ov the season,these horses today all Cheltenham grade 1horses in waiting, but a good few more will make serious opposition in different grade 1races in March, a plus tard on this form should win a gold cup

@@cameronevans2183 I'm pleased!!! He was visually very impressive. But as I keep saying, on that ground, against those horses (Bristol De Mai apart), he was entitled to win easy, maybe not that easy, but easy nevertheless. He was well clear on ratings and the second is probably a stone better horse on heavy. RP & BDM jumped like drains most of the way and RP and CSL came back with leg wounds. If you take last year's Gold Cup form , RP has actually halved the distance between them today.

Key races at Navan and Hollow Games took the Grade 3 hurdle race, Run Wild Fred took the Troytown Chase and The Model Kingdom took the last, a Listed mares flat race. I will wrap up the other races. Watched a thrilling race at Haydock where Jersey Bean in the last few hundred yards edged Furius De Ciergues in a staying chase. Bravemansgame and Bob Ollinger won their races respectively, both will stake Festival claims. I mentioned before that Lord Glitters won a big prize in Bahrain. Next weekend, Newbury, Newcastle (featuring the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle) and Fairyhouse featuring three Group Ones which could see the reappearance of reigning champion hurdler, Honeysuckle in one of them.

Royal pagailles jumping is bit sketchy had a plus tart 4 the first time when won the savilles chase at Leoperstown last Xmas 11/1 never get that again, didn't miss a fence 2day wouldn't surprise me if he went on and won the GC 2nd time of asking and he'll be around 4 a few yrs yet,,, And no more can be said about Rachel except pure class 👍🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

It's a class horse, great jumper but hes beaten nothing because his main rivals pulled up. If it was a handicap it would of been giving chunks of weight away so we've learnt very little this time. She just schooled him round.
