Hey Provostians! I just checked instagram and they are ok, they were at a different Christmas market, but they have decided not to release the video that they filmed out of respect to those that were injured in the incident. New video tomorrow.

Germany is a very large country and this incident wasnt even near Munich at all, so there really is nothing to worry about.

I went to a Christmas market in Wiesbaden Germany many years ago. It was beautiful and a great time. I loved seeing many hand made wooden toys, eating stolen, listening to music and buying special items. I hope your experience is awesome

Once again, I love how you all handle travel challenges. Wow, your train was new and not crowded at all. Wishing you lots of fun at the Münich Christmas market! Viel Spass!

€60 for a Uber, is a one way price? For the next time when you guys visit The Efteling, travel by train. For the both of you if you buy a return ticket it will cost something like €80 for 2 persons to “Den Bosch” railway station. Your son can travel with a child train ticket €2,50 one way. From “Den Bosch” railway station you can take a bus that stops at the Efteling. It might save you some money. Dutch people who travel with public transportation always take the train.

Railway station areas in major cities in Europe are usually a bit sketchy. Its just a point in the city homeless people and whatnot usually gravitate towards. Its also often where various forms of grown up entertainment is offered, which is legal in Germany by the way. But its completely safe because there are always many people around and violent crime is very rare in Europe. You do want to keep an eye out for your personal belongings and watch out for pickpockets. You know, general big city stuff.

Good luck getting caught up on sleep! Did you consider intercity trains rather than flights? Often only a little slower door to door but the travel experience is so much nicer! And easier to nap!

My Dad and I took the city bus to that castle. I think it took three hours. By the time we got there it was in the afternoon and my dad didn't want to go in. We just walked around the grounds. Hopefully you guys have a better way to get there!! Go to the Hofbrauhaus its very interesting!!

Munich is a nice town. They don't call themselves the Metropolis with heart for nothing. Next time you visit, definitely visit Bavaria Filmstadt, wher e famousmovies like the neverending story was filmed. Now this might get me in trouble with my fellow Germans, but IMHO, Neuschwanstein is Overrated, I myself found Linderhof Castle much more impressive

Bless your heart, I know you need pretty much a full days worth of sleep just to get all caught back up again and I hope that you find your happy spot there. Beyond that, I also hope that you find a safer route back to the trains! Looking forward to seeing the Christmas market and the castle! You're going to have so much fun!
