As a Brit, I'd always prefer to take a train around Europe (within reason, London - Rome is probably a flight!) The train might be slightly slower than flights but it's so much less hassle, you can move and stretch your legs, and nap, and watch the world go by. Or, like, work on laptop with a decent amount of focus if you must. It's far more relaxing! Plus when you do have a change it's often in the centre of a major city like Cologne, stop for lunch and see the cathedral! Your trip does make a good point, you started at the station, ended at the station - could have been just on trains between. I so want to stay at Sequoia Lodge! it looks like the perfect balance of cozy and convenience. And very cute!

Have a safe trip and happy holidays to you all! I'm on the opposite side of park reservations, because of exactly what happened at WDW. Hitting capacity and turning guests away is not cool. I hope Disneyland never gets rid of the system.

It is definitely frustrating when a park reaches capacity.

Chris I have to tell you that my heart skipped a beat this morning. On the news at 6am Ca time the main story was about a man driving his truck through a crowd at a Christmas market in Germany. I went into instant panic as that was one of the places you said that you were going to yesterday. Finally got enough information off the internet that I could breathe again. They said a 9 year old was among the dead. I am so relieved however very sad for all that were killed or injured

Love these travel videos. I love how you explain what you are doing, it's soothing like Mister Rodgers! 😄 It helps me know what do to when I travel also. My husband and I took the TGV train from the airport to Disneyland Paris. We had trouble with the tickets too, and we even bought them ahead of time. We almost missed our train! We went in the summer and the Earl of Sandwich was the best because they had ice. What a relief! Can't wait to see your DLP video. I have only been in the summer so I'm looking forward to what it looks like in winter. Save travels and thank you for all you do! I am now obsessed with getting to the Efteling park because of you. I will get there someday. 😁

Regarding the train travel; when traveling from Efteling to Disneyland / Europapark, you have (almost) direct trains that go there. From Efteling > Rotterdam it'll take you about an hour, and then from Rotterdam > Disneyland Paris ( Literally the train station at the park ) it is another 3.5 hours. To Europapark, almost direct trains go from Amsterdam, Utrecht and Arnhem. Also easily managable via train from Efteling. Also, Schiphol > Efteling is quite easy by train. Might be worth a shot the next time you all travel here!

Chris you and Amanda do a great job with your videos. Don't think otherwise. Even with mistakes, that is just what I call "human-proof"! Example, as you're going back to Paris, I still watch, even though you couldn't PAY me to go back to that awful place! Both the city AND the park. The WORST cast members in all the WORLD are DL Paris, especially for those from the states. They KNOW that they can treat you badly and even LIE to you. But that local EU people not so much because there may be consequences from a local. There won't be from someone from Asia or the states. Parisians both in the city and at the park, have EARNED their reputations for being rude, aloof, and snooty. We saw it first hand. Whereas Shanghai was the exact opposite. Also, unlike the U.S. most of Europe prefer trains. they may not be as fast, but it's NOT because they're "saving the planet" or any such thing. It's mostly their culture. They have trams and trains to EVERYTHING. Through town, to work, to visit, etc. Plus, as airports are now always on the outskirts of towns or cities, Trains take you right to the heart of the city. So you can get closer to where you want to be without additional trouble or hassle.
