@@donovanjones2794 Yeah, it's not that it's an "anime only filler arc" (like say, the Daphne Arc), as much as it is that it "happens off screen" in the manga because it gets discussed and referenced in passing as the "Zentopia Incident". So, it still happened, we just didn't get to see it in the manga.

I think this whole thing about michelle is one of the most emotional parts of Fairy Tail. The feels are the reason why I love the series and that's why I would never tell anybody to skip this ark. It may be a little dragged out but if you keep your patience then it's worth it. EDIT: And let's of course not forget our boy cobra. That was a great scene, too.

Angel however was shown to be very skilled and strong when she was able to summon two celestial spirits at the same time, Gemini transforming to Gray (Gemini can only transform to people who have equal or less magic power to owner) which btw Gray defeated Juvia easily while still injured from Galuna Island, Gemini also transformed into Ichiya as well who is an S Class Wizard. Which means Angel has the same magic power or even stronger because of the timeskip gap. Juvia has shown no actual feats that would indicate her being stronger than Angel.

I base it from what the Guildhall look like. In GMG arc the guild is still crappy and old and they get the stone-built guildhall after the Magic Games. In the movie the guild is already stone-built so I wonder if the movie is after the GMG arc. So I guess I'm right.

They only mention this in the manga, but kinana was Cobra's snake Cubellios when he was in the Oracion Seis. She was originally human and forced into child labor alongside him and the others, but was transformed into a snake by a malicious Mage. She was turned back by Makarov after he realized that she was actually a human. Kinana had no recollection of being a snake when she was first turned back, but her memory as a snake was slowly returning as she remembered a voice asking to hear her thoughts. After Makarov made her an employee of the Fairy Tail to keep an eye on her if she ever regained all her memory, as if she did, something terrible could happen to her. Besides Makarov, only Macao, Wakaba, and Mirajane knew of Kinana's transformation. That is also the other meaning behind Cobra's reasoning when he says he wants to hear her voice again; he wanted to turn her back into a human.

I dunno if this story is true but during the run of this arc of the anime Mashima was still on the GMG arc, if I recall correctly this arc was made by the anime but not manga because the anime was getting too close to the manga. So this arc was written to give time for Mashima to put out more material so the anime does not stop mid arc. From what I recall aside from the final series, the other times FT went on haitus was when there was a shift in the studio making the anime
