Ive used the semi auto shotgun and tried the others since the game came out and can definitely say they need a slight buff to range and damage. You pretty much have to be in melee range to get a hip fire one shot kill and anything beyond like 8 meters(which isn't far at all) when ads is a is a 2-3 shot kill. Considering how fast the ttk is in this game, you're lucky to even get off a second shot before getting absolutely melted.

I’m telling you it’s something more nefarious at play kinda like how they turn off your aim assist or they’ll make your bullets do no damage with that SBMM patent, I believe you’re getting those hit-markers on purpose as a way of in game live action nerf cause the same thing happens to me in fact you’ll shoot somebody point blank and kill him then his teammate walks in (same exact spot) and he gets a hit-marker what differentiates the 2 shots 😭💀

Thunder try the deployable cover as your 2nd field order. If someone throws a grenade at you, you can throw down the shield if your quick and it absorbs the blast. Then you can immediately mount your gun on the shield and blast them 👀☠

I only use the Expedite 12 shotgun with the VX Pineapple foregrip, the FSS Frame Stock, and the Expedite L-bolt on the Taraq map. There is one building I camp in and it makes so many players salty. I have "adapted" for the playstyle I once despised. Thankyou Infinity Ward.

Shotguns are the most frustrating weapons to use. They’re very satisfying when you get a kill but when you get a hit marker ESPECIALLY with pump action shotguns, you’re basically dead. So you’re in the mercy of lag and your pellet spread

consider using the stockless pistol grip/sawn off stock on your shotguns. those stocks have the unlisted upside of removing hipfire strafing inaccuracy - basically when strafing your crosshair doesnt bloom out like it does with other stocks equipped it's huge for shotgun accuracy and reliability and with a spread tightness loadout you can maintain a super tight spread while staying mobile

And use the biggest range barrel, it will kill your mobility but it will give you somewhat of a consistent 1 shot kill potential. But yes, these shottys need a buff STAT.

Shotties have been inconsistent since Cold War in my experience. You know, the two they had at launch. Not the Gallo, more so the pump one, but that thing would sometimes snipe, then take three point-blank shots to kill. Only seems like they're getting worse.

The shotgun you love to use in BO4 takes just as long to kill from mid to long range except it fires faster. This is a pump action, what’s the complaint? I’m glad that unless you aim and place those shots square on that target, that the shotgun is not a one hit kill from mid to long range. They need to keep that. “Hardcore” or whatever it’s gonna be called will be better suited for that one hit from a block away magic.
