We all take so many images as photographers that our computers are bursting with them. How can you get those images out into the world? Today we talk about that and give you some suggestions based on our experiences.

Thanks, it's fun to print some images every now and then. They always look better than on a small screen!

And here I am thinking you were going to show us how you store/backup your image catalogs! Making calendars was not what I was expecting. But it was fun anyway! Should I get one for my wife’s anniversary present?

I think we all have our own ways of storing our images and cataloging them. But we all take so many and they live in our computers never to be seen. I think this video was more about getting them out there into the world. And sure!

How much time do you spend editing and inspecting your photos before they end up in a book/calendar? In other words, how do you make sure you don’t overlook something before you print?

Usually when we edit we try to make sure that they are clean and we remove anything that wouldn't look good in print. Doesn't take to much time.

There are websites that allow artists to sell their work on a variety of items such as wall art and phone cases. Have you considered using that type of service? Also, are there copywrite issues to consider with photos taken at Disney World?
@BillEricPhotography

That's pretty much what this site is. And no we have no copyright issues with Disney these images are ours and we own them. We actually went to Disney with the book and they passed on selling it with parks but they didn't give us any problems as far as copyright

My kids bought a phone case from Bill & Eric for me as a birthday gift, and it’s fantastic. It’s still on my phone, and it starts quite a few conversations. As a hobbyist photographer, I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making great images. Love the videos and all the information that Bill & Eric pass along.

I'm sitting here watching a few of your videos, as well as another photographer and all I hear is rapid fire clicking. Start to think what the hutch so they do with these random photos after they filter out the low quality ones? And poof, up pops this video. But my big question is, how did you get started, with your first picture? Where did you turn to learn, besides trial by error. Last one, minus the social media, does photography put food on your table? Or is it a side thing for fun and extra income? I'm not the photo shoot type person, I like randomness and in the moment type things. Thanks and thanks for the lessons!!

Hi, I would call us both advanced hobbyists. We have made money through our photography. Over the years we've put out coffee table books and done different business ventures as well as work with different brands on advertising campaigns. But it's not our 9:00 to 5:00. Eric has been a photographer for 30 years and has a wealth of knowledge. I started shooting seriously about 10 years ago when I met Eric through our children. But as I learned I did what you are doing I watched KZbin videos and just practiced. There's nothing better than having the camera in your hand and just trying different things.

Tony Northrup has good videos. His older videos are more than nuts and bolts of photography now it's a lot of camera reviews and things like that. But his information is solid. Depending on what camera you shoot you can probably find some good videos based around your camera. That's how I would start searching.
