A Truly great Live band. Highly recommend seeing them in concert if you get the chance. Since the lead singer is a recovered addict, most of the lyrics delve into the serious sides of human nature, and the paths of destruction we caused along the way. They also look at the other side of the coin, and talk about positives in life. One that is fun, is "Diamond Eyes". More Pyro on stage for that one too. Speaking of that, they have a fleet of Semi-trailers they use for touring. One is just for show Pyro. They have some huge firework displays at their shows! They stay mentally fit and physically fit while touring. They turned one of those Semi-Trailers into a Gym, so they can workout as they travel. All around good people, with a message to get out.

Each person in the video is dealing with there own monsters. The lead singers monster is addiction, the little girl is her grandfather and being abused. The widows monsters are the fact that she cheated on her husband when he got recalled overseas to fight and then got killed. The little girl is the daughter of the widow. The grandfather is the widows dad and the guy she cheated with is the brother-in law. I think you would love their tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd's Simple Man.

Though I agree with your assessment, it's also about our veterans and their struggles with PTSD. I can only pray that they are able to get the help they deserve. I'm a former addict and I know what that's like.
