You say that we don’t get to “feel” the pops like you and the patient do…but I TOTALLY FEEL THEM! This PA is wonderful. His videos and his EXPLANATIONS are great. I'm a retired RN. I was fortunate to study at the Cleveland Clinic and afterwards pass the national certification exam and enjoy being a CETN (Cert Enterostomal Therapy Nurse). Given that...what I especially am impressed by is Greg's attention to detail. A break in the skin - weather a small gauge needle into the opening of a PORE, or a surgical incision line or a pressure ulcer...all are WOUNDS. And the principles of wound healing and closure are the same. I watch these videos and think of the training and skills helping people with acne etc requires and am as I said very impressed with this Dermatology Speciality. I loved wound care. A very specialized Nursing skill. And of course all the other levels of licensure in this health area.

I remember having oily skin and pimples as a teenager. It was a nightmare. My mother took me to the dermatologist and he put me on tetracycline and Retin A gel. Feeling the plug pop was weirdly refreshing. What a lifesaver. Having oily skin as a teenager was awful but as an adult at 63 years old I don’t have one wrinkle. The oil is a blessing in old age. His skin is looking amazing and soon he’ll be totally clear. The process may not be fun but the results are exhilarating. Great job guys

My oily skin as a teenager was a nightmare as well! I didn't get to go to the dermatologist though. At close to 67 years old, I have some scaring and large pores, but very few tiny wrinkles. I absolutely agree with your comment about this young man.

Hi Deborah I just wrote my thoughts on how things used to be in the day. I'm 63 as well. I do here over and over again that people who struggled with oily skin no matter how miserable they must have been are definitely reaping the benefits now. I had the odd bump and blackhead but never a problem with oils. I thought I was doing pretty good and then 55 hit and it was wrinkled City. I'm so pleased to hear that there is some Payback for the struggles that you had when you were young. We spend an awful lot of time looking in that mirror when were teenagers it must be very difficult when Teenage acne is looking back. Best wishes❤

@@dixierae3442 apply a light coat of olive oil at night and put a steaming wash cloth on top for a few minutes. Also, retinol creams help with wrinkles. Best to you and Happy Mother’s Day

Greg, you are THE BEST acne treater out there. You explain things so well-ranging from explaining which extraction tool you use and why, to describing how prescription medications work, to specifying the plan of treatment and how long things will take. I really love when you say, “ You’re going to feel so much better after this extraction.” I also appreciate that you use the right extraction tool for the job instead of bowing to pressure to use only the cotton tip method, for example. You be YOU- a consummate professional who knows how to do things right.

What an amazing transformation already and you're not even fully done yet!!! Brilliant work Doctor! I have a really bad chronic skin condition and been to several dermatologists and none of them know what it is, they actually just blame me for creating these big sores all over my chest by picking at my skin. One (very well known dermatologist in Toronto) actually had the guts to tell me I have a psychological condition called Trichotillomania (compulsive skin/hair picking due to anxiety and OCD) which I definitely do NOT have. They can't seem to grasp the fact that even if I pick on the sores, I don't cause them to appear. They appear out of no where and fill up with lots of blood and puss. If I squeeze them, the content comes out and they can heal but they always come back in the same spots (and new ones). Started over 2 years ago and still going on no matter how many creams or meds they put me on 😔. I wish I had a Doctor like you, who would actually try to figure out what is causing them instead of just blaming me. Oh the same doctor also blamed me for scratching at my skin, causing sores to appear when I told him over and over and over again that they are not typically itchy... He put me on anti histamine medicine... Even after I told him they are not itchy 🤦‍♀️. Why can't all Doctors be like you 😔.

Of course I don't know this young man, but he seems very nice from these videos. I loved hearing him say, "Do what you gotta do." Not everything in life is pleasant and easy. He seems to understand that sometimes you have to go through some stuff to achieve your goals. That's a very good attitude to have. His skin is looking great and he is quite handsome. My brother had severe acne when we were in High School. I'm in my 60s now and can count on 1 hand how many pimples I've had.. ever!! When he was in his 20s it started clearing up, but the scarring was a done deal. After living through it with my brother I can tell you.. you've given this handsome young man a rare gift. Congratulations on your graduation! I remember when my son went through this, he was on Accutane for 7 months I believe. The doctor said it was the worst she’d ever seen. His was on his neck, shoulders and covered his back with inflamed pus filled acne. They would bleed through his shirt. The medication dried his hair out, made his lips chapped and made his skin very dry. But it was so worth it in the end. Two years later now, he’s getting a few starting back. Hopefully he doesn’t have to go back and start treatment again.

There's something about how you talk and when you don't talk that makes these so soothing. Like there's just enough chatter in your vids to learn a thing or two and laugh a bit, but then the inbetweens of silence here and there where the most you say is 'got it' kinda balance that out. Also I cannot stop watching this guy's videos. Like he is all smiles and beauty IS pain. His energy through this entire process is so refreshing. It’s so good to see that there’s hope for people who have bad acne. I’m 60 and when I was 22 I met someone who had cystic acne and there didn’t seem to be anything affordable that could be done for him. My heart ached for him. 😮

That was really something, he could be a model! I can’t emphasize enough how much joy you’re giving these people that come to you with a problem they can’t fix. Acne isn’t something you can hide, but you’re making a difference one pop at a time. There’s always been a stigma connected to acne, especially teens and young adults. Sometimes they’re teased about their complexion. Kids can be cruel. Thank God you have answers that work.
