Super cool Ryan! I like the paint scheme story about keeping the red flames scheme going from your younger days. I’m teaching my son the hobby and can only hope he appreciates everything as much as you do.

RC10 gold pan with the truck conversion, Losi jrx2, original gold pan rc10, and my dads jrx2 that has some old funky panel van conversion body on it. I’m not racing rc with my 5&7 year old and we have acquired about 30+ more lately! Keep the hobby alive and great vids dude!

This was a cool to hear the history of the cars we see on that shelf. I find it funny you raced a FF02 against the 4wd cars too that’s also how I learned to maintain corner speed and throttle control even after I officially moved on to 4wd open TC with a Kyosho TF2 I continued to run my FF02 in stock TC. I moved to a TC3 after the TF2 and ran that off and on until very recently.

So cool to see the Micro RS4 bodies. I raced these with my dad when I was a teenager. By far the most fun RC racing I think I've ever done, also was the last models I raced with my dad as he never got into off-road racing. We still fly and race FPV drones together though, so its all good!

Thank you Ryan. Building my first real truck has taken me away from rc a bit. I’ve also gotten an opportunity to start racing a 1st gen rx7 in the SCCA. I have a lot of work ahead of myself to get there still and my rusty old Chevy pickup still needs more work. And now this virus has struck the world. So rc has really been at a standstill for me for a while. I know it will continue to be for a bit longer, but this was what I needed to get my brain back into the mindset of rc, which I think you can understand. I liked watching the video of your brother racing as well. I wish the rest of my family had the burning passion for racing like I do, or at least a little bit of interest. It’s been hard to pave my own way and I have a lot of asphalt left to lay down. I know I’ll almost definitely never be able to race pro 4 unlimited short course, or even the pro lite class, but I think I’ve found a way into roadcourse. I went to my first roadcourse race ever a couple weekends ago. I was crew for my boss/mentor who raced in EP, IT7R, and an enduro in the IT7R car. I was at VIR which is about an hour away from me and boy, do I love that place. That was the last race they were able to hold before closing for the virus, which has me worried about my GPA, grandparents, and my summer. Tomorrow, after I fix a chainsaw(my main job is at a small engine/lawnmower repair shop. My boss races roadcourse and we work on the race cars when we aren’t servicing lawn equipment), I’m going to rebuild my ebuggy. I had come home from my last outdoor race months ago and life just threw itself at me. I think I have some serious polishing work to do to the hinge pins since it’s been hanging... dirty with the Carolina clay. When I started rc racing, it was a goal of mine to finally, someday, pull up to the track in my own vehicle. I love my mom, but I just wanted to arrive to a race and pit from the back of my pickup bed. At the time, I wasn’t sure what truck I’d buy. Now, I know. I look forward to the moment the racers see me arrive in my old rusty Chevrolet that I’ve worked so hard for and put so much work into and learned so many lessons from. Again, I can’t drive it anywhere far yet. It won’t pass inspection, I have no idea how much gas is in the tank or how fast I’m going, I’m halfway finished fully fabricating a new exhaust for it(the factory one had 1/8 buggy tire size rust holes in it and if the muffler had a name it would be Napoleon Blownaparte), I need to fix the ac,... you get it. I’m crossing my fingers that I won’t need to rebuild the transmission soon. Wow. I sure did write a lot. Hope you enjoy reading this. I hope you’re safe and have plenty of tp... or reasonable alternatives:)

Good vid Ryan. Just recently found your channel and have had a great time watching. Love the old Tamiya collection especially the David Jun TA03F Pro. I love my FF03 Pro. I just recently got a TA02SW w/Porsche 911 GT2 and am looking forward to building it with my son. Great collection of cars and bodies 👍 Wish I could paint that well. I used to race the AE RC18R until I couldn't get parts for it anymore. That was a fun class even though I'm more of an off-road racer. I'm fairly new to the hobby so I'm always learning watching your channel. In fact I need to go back and watch your last live stream a few more time to help me understand setups better. If you ever want to read setups sheets again I would be very interested. This made me feel old. My first cars were rc10 gold pan and a midnight pumpkin. Raced with my dad for a few years building a nice collection of cars till my dad passed and my step mom sold all of our cars..and even our trophies..out from under me. Just started racing again at ss hobbies in the 2wd buggy and stadium truck class. Wanted to start back in the 4wd buggy or etruggy class but right as I got back into things found out my kidneys had failed and had heart failure. So now being on disability I could not afford those classes. Maybe some day...

You did say to ask questions & hopefully you won’t mind me asking all of these questions because I have lots of them 😂. Can you thin out liquid mask? Can you spray it out of an airbrush without any problems? When you use an airbrush to spray on liquid mask, do you thin it out with something ? Or use a different needle size or pressure ? & what do you use to clean the liquid mask out of your airbrush? Im having a question overload so I will keep it to those For now 😂
