Hey, (this is just an idea) what it you shuffle your music playlist and the first song that comes up you'd have to create a character based on it, then the second song would be the second character and the third song would be the relationship between them. [This idea is from a post I read, it doesn't belong to me ;~;]

You can also use it to sharpen the charcoal/graphite sticks/pencils and create a dust which you can keep in a little pot and apply it with a paintbrush/paper stump/cotton pad or bud/tissue or paper towel etc for a softer application and gradient. I find if I use it to clean the paper stumps I just end up with fuzzy bits on the end and I can never get it to a proper point again - any tips?

Congratulations Mr Waffles, both on your birthday and for having a lovely daughter. The sandpaper bar is for sharpening and cleaning your tortillions! Also the cloth is for smudging large areas of charcoal to obtain an even mid toned smudge, which your finger cannot achieve. Music is a bit loud but otherwise I always enjoy your giggly videos. Thanks

Charcoal is my favorite physical art medium to work with, I love how versatile it can be and I like getting my hands dirty, it's satisfying lol one of the most recent things I've done is painting with charcoal. You basically make the charcoal into powder and paint with a dry brush, makes it easy to get soft blends :)

Edit: Thank you for 90 likes, hey maybe waffles will see this ;D If I want anyone to try this out first I want waffles to do it! :) Edit 2: Basically I tried this out rn and it's not as difficult as I thought it would be. I drew an actual person with my reference and it was kinda easy but outlining it was a little hard since I didn't have my sketch. You guys should try it 😂 Hey waffles! I **think** I came up with this challenge. Okay so basically I call it the reverse art challenge. So basically you do your art in reverse. so if you do the sketch first (of course, you do) then you do it last and if you do the marker or colouring last then you do it first. It would be best to do the inking last cause thats what I usually do last then it will help you by giving you a "sketch" kinda. You can choose what idea you want to make it before hand and you can make a reference too. I got this idea when I turned over my art piece after I finished it and I saw the marker ink through it. I also got inspiration for this challenge from reverse slime challenges too. This is probably going to be a hard challenge but that's why it's a challenge 😅 Haha it would be awesome if Waffles saw this! 😂 My idea is kinda dumb 🤣

I used the eraser shield a LOT in Drafting class, it's used typically with a harder eraser to yeild a nicer line. I personally used it to define my lines ans took off the ends that weren't needed, like if I over drew the edge of the paper. It's useful in more practical drawings! Though I could see myself using it on a dark surface to make objects in negative space, if that's the right term at least.

I don't know if you noticed but in the final drawing, even though it was exaggerated, and it wasn't exactly what she wanted, that is exactly what a lot of classical companies are striving to find (or at least what they used to). Without the shading, I immediately saw the romanticized idea of a dancer. A hidden strength behind a frail exterior. I was hoping for a little more black swan vibes but still perfection.

This is not meant to be rude but advice. When using charcoal...if you are right handed, work from the left to the right. Opposite for lefty’s. This will reduce the amount of charcoal getting on your skin. Drawing wiff waffles, if you are reading this, know that this is an amazing art community that you have put together here. I appreciate that you bring people together over your amazing art. I am so grateful for you as you’re an amazing influence. I also love your attitude.
