I like a fold with the KQ on the river. I can't think of any hands he would barrel turn with that don't have you beat on the Ace river. Not even a back door flush draw is available.

Agreed - it's hard to find any logical bluffs, so even with a narrow value range we should be folding.

12:43 take note that your opponent didn't valuebet AQ which is a clear bet here, therefore he is unbalanced towards bluffs in similar river spots and if the population does this you can bluffcatch too. You played the KQ good! Don't worry about it! WP hand.

I think in the second KQ hand you played it fine. If you check the turn the villian may value bet the river anyway. So whether you bet turn or not you're not folding to one bet. In the first KQ hand the villian might have been firing a big ace range and he got there on the river and it's a little easier fold.

Preface: I'm fairly well rounded, and a winning player up to 2/5 cash, and decent at mid lvl tourneys. I also firmly believe that you are more than a little better than me. That being said, I don't understand why you think the KQss hand was played poorly. After calling the preflop raise, i'm not sure what you think was a mistake. Check/check-turn top pair K kicker, and lead out....seems fine. Check on 3rd d river(I assume to bluff catch). After the check back lose to the one pip. I type this out of desire to improve. I truly don't see how else you could have played this. If you check turn, I assume he bets, you call, then the river goes either check/check, or check/bet/fold. Thoughts...omitting preflop fold, of course?

I'm excited to watch some more of your content. I think I'm gonna try some small tournaments, rather than playing short stacked in cash games. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! It can be hard, but try to be cognizant of the rake (entry fee attached to the cost of entering the tournament) and shoot for things with under 20% rake. Good luck!

EP with QQ and a 2.5x open....I don't think that's big at all....min raise is 8k you made it 11k....I actually like going a bit bigger from EP....nothing wrong with taking it down right there and winning the 10k in the middle vs seeing a flop with an A or K on it and having to make decisions. Making it 3.5x and I think you get the 67 off to fold from the BB....not sure the A7 folds to any bet but thats variance that sucks not to mention the slap in the face Q on the river.....all in all I like how you played the hand but think going smaller with the open is a bad idea.

That’s ridiculous, people putting their hard earned money on the line and casinos refusing to fit the bill when a customer truly wins. Who cares if their machine is “broken” it’s their job to make sure it’s working perfectly and “fix it” or “out of order” it. Disgusting how they’ll take peoples money for years and years virtually taking someone’s retirement away from them in exchange for a place to be and spend their time with unlimited drinks and snacks. - they should have at least paid the jackpot of that machine then to them customers who won a large amount of money. I wouldn’t have left the casino refusing to leave until they paid me up front

Liking the loosey goosey format (good thing you weren't also eating a sandwich) IMHO- First KQ you played correctly until you called the 10k on the river Second KQ you played correctly (and probably lost the minimum). Fortunate he didn't make a small to middling bet on the river, because you'd probably have to call. Q4- instead of fortunate- Ideal or fortuitous 44- Cooler, obviously. (Lame) QQ- Wut ... dafuq is 76 doing.................... Nice rungood towards the end!

Actually couldn't finish the vlog because of the audio cutting to silence so many times (it was giving me a headache) - I'd check the audio stuff or switch back to Audacity. Best of luck Matt!

Yeah that's something with your speaker or your browser - I have had a couple issues that sound similar to that with Firefox. But Kman is right - it's not the video itself. Appreciate you looking out for issues though!

I can see what Matt is talking about, look at around 8:04 for example. With headphones on it's noticeable. Sounds like you used a noise reduction to remove background noise, then when you don't talk it goes to complete silence.
