After the death the remaining members plus Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke had a reality show on CBS to find a new lead singer called Rockstar:INXS . There were contestants from all over the world . The winner was a Canadian JD Fortune . They put out 1 album but things did not go well there were problems with injuries , JD Fortune saying he was fired , the band saying he quit and INXS and JD Fortune split. Their first single was Pretty Vegas kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2m2hHesea5or8kfeature=shared which was written by JD Fortune with help from some of the other contestants from the reality TV show . However there were problems with JD Fortune not wanting to share any credit for song writing. The band would later tour with a new singer .

You have just been introduced to the most dynamic and charismatic singer/songwriter of the best live band in the world at the time. Yes, that was a real thing. Get your darts and dart board out to pick the next song, because INXS does not have a "bad" song. You can pick anything to listen to. INXS is known for their live performances, so you can pick out anything for that also, but Wembley 1991 is the cherry on top. PS. Bono & Edge were BFF with Michael back in the day. U2 tried the INXS style out on several tracks, that I enjoy, but did not rise to the success of INXS.

Was extremely lucky to see INXS at the beginning of their KICK album tour, in a small 3000 seat theater. By the end of that tour they were playing in front of a hundred thousand people in sports arenas and were the biggest music act in the world. I've seen all the great bands and INXS were second to none. They were the best musical ensemble I've ever seen. The musicianship of this band was tremendous. Then there was Michael Hutchence, one the greatest front man in rock history. Great voice, great dancer and mover on stage and the women loved him. Michael Hutchence, one of the most talented, handsome and beautiful people in music. Like so many tragic figures in rock history, plagued by addiction and depression, connected in a toxic relationship with a married woman. The relationship was fed by the mutual drug addiction. They shared a daughter, yet tangled in a rock music love triangle, that used the children to spite each other to an extreme that lead to his suicide by hanging. At his funeral, she slipped a gram of heroin into his pocket. Three years later, this woman was found dead, overdosed on heroin with their four year old daughter alone with her, in the room. The husband in this tragic triangle is raising his children and Michael’s child together. RIP Michael. Your music was so stunning but your short 37 years were so troubled. I hope your soul has found peace. 💔

This song has been adopted by the Port Adelaide Australian Rules football club in South Australia. At every home game, the club supporters and members, (I'm one), sing this song at the top of our lungs just before the start of the game. And because of the unique acoustics of the Adelaide Oval football ground, the reverberation of a packed stadium singing has at times intimidated the opposing team.

That great sax is in most of their songs. You have to check out "New Sensation" either at Wembley Stadium - which will blow your mind, this incredible live performance - and many others. Michael Hutchence (RIP) was one of the greatest front men of all time and greatly missed. He had SO much more to do!

Welcome to the party. :-) one of the biggest bands in the world in the 80's / 90's A very big catalogue of hits. Michael Hutchence (the lead singer) was a friend of Bono from U2 when both bands were huge. Like others will mention.. please listen to more. New Sensation (live at wembley) Enjoy

INXS RULEs!! I’ve seen them 4 times in concert including once in AUZ as an up and coming band in 1984, well known in AUZ, but not known in North America yet.. When they hit North America, the came a running? You need to do Original Sin, Mystify, Disappear, Need You Tonight, Devil Inside, New Sensation, a huge, HUGE BAND!! So many hits!! Michael Hutchinson voice…. RIP…

This is from the 1987 album "Kick" by 'IN XS', 'Paloma Faith' did an excellent cover of this song, which might be where you heard it from.

New Sensation by INXS! Official video. INXS was one of only a handful of the biggest bands in the world in the later 80s and 90s. They have a deep, deep catalogue. Mystify, Need You Tonight/Mediate, Devil Inside, What You Need. Their whole KICK album is fire & had a bunch of hit singles.

It's another example that shows how versatile the 80s were in music. Musicians took time to create a song with long intros, great instrumentation, melodies and harmonies. In nowadays charts you've heard everything after 20 sec, because people don't take time to listen to music anymore. They listen to Spotify&Co and will decide within the first 20 sec if they like the song or not. So a long intro or built up is not recommended. That's why most charts songs don't sound like a real song and literally the same. Thx for reviewing.
