As much as I love the kids... I actually do prefer listening to Colette and the things she has to say. The adorable children are just extra cuteness. Even with the vlogs I often found myself more drawn to the clips where Colette or Shay talked almost one on one and gave advice

If you listened to Shay's advice, just know he was spouting stuff he'd read. What he says, and what he does, are two completely different things.

I always...wanted to see Colette..in the Shaytards anyway..I was always waiting for Colette's part of the puzzle..so the rest of the vlog was fine...but really Colette has a great message..I TEARED up seeing you share your journey with us..I HAVE the SAME "inner bully"...(of course we all do)...and I love how Colette teaches in such a vulnerable way. LOVE YOU COLETTE! please keep the videos coming don't let your inner bully shut it down..your "free writing" idea...is really helpful actually for me...I want to try that..I also had a horrific family destruction event in 2016...and the anxiety was THROUGH THE ROOF!..and although I am feeling more normalish now..I don't think it is too late for some free writing... I feel like you are an earth angel...and earth angels don't always walk smooth paths...

i feel bad for collette. i mean she tried so hard to get her life back together and people are still hating on her. yes she is still with shay but only because she believes that they can fix their relationship and their trust. she is a smart person that knows how to make her own decisions. she must have taken a lot of time to think about what she wanted to happen. i personally think that she made a good decision because they were once happy and i definitely think that they can be happy again if they both put in the work. love you so much collette! you are a huge inspiration for me because i have had a lot of fear and anxiety in my life but this will definitely help me make better decisions.

Colette knows that Shay is sincerely sorry so she has given him a second chance after the huge mistake he has made. That shows that colette really loves Shay and really believes in him and in their relationship

Collette, when you guys stopped the Shaytards and things had happened, I was worried for you. I had watched your family forever and I didn't wanna see you hurt. When you had stopped uploading I was sad but wondered if I would ever hear from you again. A few months ago I was cleaning out my KZbin subscriptions and I almost un followed your channel but just couldn't... And then you came back. I'm so happy you did. These videos are amazing and I feel like you really found your calling. I'm saving this video to my favorites and I'll be re watching and re watching over and over. I'd love to see a video of your favorite self help books. I'm struggling right now, I'm struggling with my weight and my life. I have PTSD and depression from that. I developed an eating disorder I've had it for many years now. I work to much to go to counseling. My work schedule doesn't work with my drs schedule so back in February I had to stop all medication for my PTSD and depression because I couldn't go to appts. From then on I've just struggled so much. I honestly would rather end my life than keep going. Ur videos really help and I want you to know ur amazing. Hope you guys had a wonderful Halloween and have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas ❤️❤️❤️

I genuinely hope you and your children are happy. I hope you aren’t just staying and working through things because you feel like you have to. Do what makes you happy. Not an idea of what makes you happy, not what once made you happy, but what makes you happy now and what will make you happy. You and your children’s health is what’s most important. Don’t force this happiness is a choice, self help book and podcast idea of being happy go-lucky crap, but be sincerely happy.

Camille Cosmo Something tells me you wouldn't want to say this exact same comment to Shay? They both deserve happiness. Regardless, your thoughts on her and the children do not line up with their beliefs. Their priorities are in this order: 1. God 2. Spouse 3. Children. People hated this, when she said it, but I am sure she still believes this.

Thank you for being an example of someone that I strive to emulate. I didn't follow your channel to watch your kids (as much as I have enjoyed watching them grow up), I followed this channel to watch YOU; To listen to the things that you have to say and the wisdom you have to impart. You are such a kind and positive soul - something that this world needs so much more of. You are a beacon of hope to me. I have watched you on some of my darkest days and you've given me the hope, fight, and strength to keep going. And so much more. So thank you from the very bottom of my heart. ❤

Everyone needs to stop judging Colette for staying with Shay. First of all, we don’t even know the whole story. There could be a lot of other factors we don’t know about. Second of all, if Colette believes her and Shay can overcome this, then we should be happy for her and standing by her side. She sounds like she has done a lot of thinking and soul searching these past months so I’m sure if she didn’t believe with her whole heart that their love is stronger than this and that staying with Shay was the best decision for herself and her children, she would not still be with him. Colette is a strong woman who is capable of making these decisions for herself. Lastly, the shaytards were never supposed to be a perfect family with perfect lives and perfect relationships. They have hardships just like us. If you’re looking for a perfect family, you might want to watch a sitcom or something because perfect families don’t exist. Perfect people don’t exist. Shay and Colette and their family have shown us so much these past years and it wasn’t perfect yet that’s what made it great and encouraging and beautiful. It’s just real people going through real life trying to make the best of it. That’s what the shaytards are all about. Colette, I love you so much, you’re such an amazing and inspirational woman. I genuinely aspire to be just like you one day. Wishing you all the best as always

appleamerica1 I don’t think they blamed the alcoholism and let it slide. I’m sure they have been working hard to fix the root of the problem. Like I said, Colette isn’t a dummy. She’s a strong woman who can think for herself. If she didn’t believe there was hope, she wouldn’t have stayed. I’ve been watching since the beginning as well, I know it hurts to realize they’re not perfect and I’m upset too, believe me. But it’s not our place to say what Colette should and shouldn’t be doing, we just need to support her :)

Oh c'mon! We all read the dm's!! He's a disgusting pig!! he doesn't just have 1 issue, has a LOT of bad habits! It's not just the cheating, the lying, the drinking alcohol, there's all the other things too! Colette is not a strong woman, she falls apart when left alone with 5 kids. She needs Shay, and he knows it, which has given him free rein to act as if single. She will rue the day she stayed with him. He will never change. His idea of beating alcoholism is to spend a weekend with his brother in the mountains (true story) LOL!! You guys ALL need to wake up and smell the coffee. Cus Shay is a waste of a person, a waste of a sperm and egg. And Collette is a doormat being controlled by said waste of space. Pick your idols more carefully. These guys sold you a lie, in order to get your money. The end.

TheDragonflywings Colette is a strong woman because you have to be a strong woman to face the internet (which is full of people like you) after a scandal like this. Honestly if you are just gonna be negative, what’s the point of posting? You don’t know what’s going on in their marriage and in their personal lives so stop spreading rumors based on nothing. Why would you want to hurt this family more than they are already hurting?

Thank you dear friend. I went through a umm basically a mental breakdown after my hubby was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was inoperable and they gave him just a few weeks to live. After a big ordeal at Mayo clinic etc etc - we received a miracle and he was fine. But after he was fine... I totally fell apart ! I know I do things backwards haha ! I had massive panic attacks, couldn't get out of bed, couldn't let my cute hubby out of my sight... I even caused him to lose his job because if he tried to leave for work I would panic so much I would literally wrap myself around his legs and sit on his feet and then hyperventilate and pass out. I was a big hot mess. Through a great counselor like you had, and oh my heavens I suggest it sooo much... and through much prayer and major major hard work... I began to get better. I was diagnosed with PTSD and what changed things from me was a simple dream in which a woman I looked up to my whole life , Marjorie Pay Hinckley, was just sitting beside me in my dream and she smiled at me and patted my leg and said " Go be a mother dear." I woke up with tears streaming down my face and I knew I had to fight even harder for my precious children. I'm actually in the process of writing a book on anxiety and depression and so many of the things you talked about in this video are things that I was also taught and want to share with others thru my writing. It works. You and I , Colette, are just examples of how this way of thinking and training your beautiful brain, works. You are beautiful and Heavenly Father has placed you exactly where you need to be in order to bless others. I felt that way when watching Shaytards, you were a beautiful example of a loving mother and wife, and a normal gal who lived with joy and with the Gospel. I feel that way now , that Heavenly Father has placed you exactly where you are, because you are a beautiful example of true love and you are helping so many just by doing a simple video... you have blessed so many. I know it sucks that we have to go thru the refiners fire ( title of my autobiography i'm also slowly working on ! whew, the trials and traumas of my life are crazy, but i know there is a purpose ) anyway it sucks to go thru the refiners fire... but oh my dear... look at what you have become. Love, JL~ www.ldsparenting.blogspot.com

I love shaytards don’t get me wrong . I miss the vlogs and stuff but I feel like we as fans shouldn’t always be asking them to come back! They will when they want to and if they don’t come back then that’s ok!Too many haters man! It wouldn’t be the same with all the negative comments. It’s kind of like when your favorite show ends. I cried so much when Friends was over but there’s that’s what reruns are for lol ♥️

comments don't mean a thing (ironically in the comments right now). For me, the videos were enough to get a kick out of. but I agree I want them back how they were, and when they feel ready).

They can't come back, it will not work, they are done PERIOD, KZbin has already changed so much since they left that they are not only not relevant in the least anymore, but people have moved on to new families, new and different content, etc. It's like a popular TV show that went off the air and tries to make some half ass attempt at re igniting a flame that doesn't exist.

They have 5mill subscribers, do it without the comment section, whatever. I bet they would still pull an easy 200k views. With people moving to different families etc, they subscribed for the content that Shaytards supplied and im sure many like myself will stick around.

Hi Colette! I just wanted to say how inspiring you have been for me all of these years that I've been watching your videos. Years ago when you were shooting your Katilette videos in LA, those videos helped me SO much during that time, i even uploaded them on my iPod to listen to when i went on walks. I was going through such a rough time with my family, i even commented on one of your videos expressing some of the hard times i went through and you replied with such love that i truly call you my second mom. I actually just went through those videos now, and seeing how much you changed is incredible, what's more incredible is how much I changed too! I feel more connected to the Colette now, you feel more raw and real to me, all of the self love and meditating, that is something I'm striving for at this moment, I'm definitely a little hippie now. Anyways i just wanted to say i love you, and thank you for coming back, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way about you! ❤️

Beautiful funny and REAL!! You guys are real a real family. Life is tough shit happens! No one is perfect and no family is perfect. You are strong and you will get through this. Shay loves you! Alcoholism is hard and it’s very hard to live with. It takes a strong family and you will be fine!! If we would quit worrying so much about what everyone else thinks about us maybe we could all live a little bit more happier

I've watched the shaytards since back in 2008 and i've missed each of you terribly since the videos stopped. This video and the last one you uploaded have helped me more than I thought I could be helped. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and for trying to help people when I know it must be hard to sort through rude and insensitive comments.
