As much as I love the kids... I actually do prefer listening to Colette and the things she has to say. The adorable children are just extra cuteness. Even with the vlogs I often found myself more drawn to the clips where Colette or Shay talked almost one on one and gave advice

i feel bad for collette. i mean she tried so hard to get her life back together and people are still hating on her. yes she is still with shay but only because she believes that they can fix their relationship and their trust. she is a smart person that knows how to make her own decisions. she must have taken a lot of time to think about what she wanted to happen. i personally think that she made a good decision because they were once happy and i definitely think that they can be happy again if they both put in the work. love you so much collette! you are a huge inspiration for me because i have had a lot of fear and anxiety in my life but this will definitely help me make better decisions.

Collette, when you guys stopped the Shaytards and things had happened, I was worried for you. I had watched your family forever and I didn't wanna see you hurt. When you had stopped uploading I was sad but wondered if I would ever hear from you again. A few months ago I was cleaning out my KZbin subscriptions and I almost un followed your channel but just couldn't... And then you came back. I'm so happy you did. These videos are amazing and I feel like you really found your calling. I'm saving this video to my favorites and I'll be re watching and re watching over and over. I'd love to see a video of your favorite self help books. I'm struggling right now, I'm struggling with my weight and my life. I have PTSD and depression from that. I developed an eating disorder I've had it for many years now. I work to much to go to counseling. My work schedule doesn't work with my drs schedule so back in February I had to stop all medication for my PTSD and depression because I couldn't go to appts. From then on I've just struggled so much. I honestly would rather end my life than keep going. Ur videos really help and I want you to know ur amazing. I genuinely hope you and your children are happy. I hope you aren’t just staying and working through things because you feel like you have to. Do what makes you happy. Not an idea of what makes you happy, not what once made you happy, but what makes you happy now and what will make you happy. You and your children’s health is what’s most important. Don’t force this happiness is a choice, self help book and podcast idea of being happy go-lucky crap, but be sincerely happy.

Everyone needs to stop judging Colette for staying with Shay. First of all, we don’t even know the whole story. There could be a lot of other factors we don’t know about. Second of all, if Colette believes her and Shay can overcome this, then we should be happy for her and standing by her side. She sounds like she has done a lot of thinking and soul searching these past months so I’m sure if she didn’t believe with her whole heart that their love is stronger than this and that staying with Shay was the best decision for herself and her children, she would not still be with him. Colette is a strong woman who is capable of making these decisions for herself. Lastly, the shaytards were never supposed to be a perfect family with perfect lives and perfect relationships. They have hardships just like us. If you’re looking for a perfect family, you might want to watch a sitcom or something because perfect families don’t exist. Perfect people don’t exist. Shay and Colette and their family have shown us so much these past years and it wasn’t perfect yet that’s what made it great and encouraging and beautiful. It’s just real people going through real life trying to make the best of it. That’s what the shaytards are all about. Colette, I love you so much, you’re such an amazing and inspirational woman. Thank you dear friend. I went through a umm basically a mental breakdown after my hubby was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was inoperable and they gave him just a few weeks to live. After a big ordeal at Mayo clinic etc etc - we received a miracle and he was fine. But after he was fine... I totally fell apart ! I know I do things backwards haha ! I had massive panic attacks, couldn't get out of bed, couldn't let my cute hubby out of my sight... I even caused him to lose his job because if he tried to leave for work I would panic so much I would literally wrap myself around his legs and sit on his feet and then hyperventilate and pass out. I was a big hot mess. Through a great counselor like you had, and oh my heavens I suggest it sooo much... and through much prayer and major major hard work... I began to get better. I was diagnosed with PTSD and what changed things from me was a simple dream in which a woman I looked up to my whole life , Marjorie Pay Hinckley, was just sitting beside me in my dream and she smiled at me and patted my leg and said " Go be a mother dear." I woke up with tears streaming down my face and I knew I had to fight even harder for my precious children. I'm actually in the process of writing a book on anxiety and depression and so many of the things you talked about in this video are things that I was also taught and want to share with others thru my writing. It works. You and I , Colette, are just examples of how this way of thinking and training your beautiful brain, works. You are beautiful and Heavenly Father has placed you exactly where you need to be in order to bless others. I felt that way when watching Shaytards, you were a beautiful example of a loving mother and wife, and a normal gal who lived with joy and with the Gospel. I feel that way now , that Heavenly Father has placed you exactly where you are, because you are a beautiful example of true love and you are helping so many just by doing a simple video... you have blessed so many. I know it sucks that we have to go thru the refiners fire ( title of my autobiography i'm also slowly working on ! whew, the trials and traumas of my life are crazy, but i know there is a purpose ) anyway it sucks to go thru the refiners fire... but oh my dear... look at what you have become. Hi Colette! I just wanted to say how inspiring you have been for me all of these years that I've been watching your videos. Years ago when you were shooting your Katilette videos in LA, those videos helped me SO much during that time, i even uploaded them on my iPod to listen to when i went on walks. I was going through such a rough time with my family, i even commented on one of your videos expressing some of the hard times i went through and you replied with such love that i truly call you my second mom. I actually just went through those videos now, and seeing how much you changed is incredible, what's more incredible is how much I changed too! I feel more connected to the Colette now, you feel more raw and real to me, all of the self love and meditating, that is something I'm striving for at this moment, I'm definitely a little hippie now.
