Between spells, hero powers, and that new naga legendary that hunter did 109 damage between your minions and face (excluding 2/5 weapon damage reduction and hunter minion attack damage). The fact a deck can semi-comfortably survive that is absolutely insane, control is alive again!

I mean I'm not happy about control being back, I consider control that only plays about surviving as a toxic thing, what I love are Reno decks being back since you have it all, you can play like control, pressure the opponent on tempo, and do some whacky stuff like a combo deck, is just everything you can love/hate it one deck and that's beautiful

I love the difference in strategy when it comes to building a highlander deck versus a regular deck. Normally you want to identify a win condition and build around it with synergies, for highlander decks it's just "click don't he good cards and see what happens" lol

Tbf the best highlander decks do have some consistency - whether it be a wide pool of options for removal, healing etc or cards that work towards a finisher (like Raza Priest). That's why N'Zoth has always fitted well into Reno decks, and Discover, too, as it improved your chances of consistency (especially when Discover used to have a class card bias).

Please no, I played against a priest with healing hero power against this... They were in 15 damage fatigue (well 1) before i died to fatigue.. none of our cards mattered it was just their heropower

Some math for Reno vs Carriel unless your health is below 10, it's almost always better to carriel first, because if your health is 11, Carriel will 'heal' you for 11 and gain *10* armor (because it's doubled) resulting in 21 health regen. The argument against is if you're expecting a lot of odd damage number because then carriel doesn't really halve the damage taken

I’ve been really enjoying the miracle/fel demon hunter with s’theno (2/4 attack when you cast a spell lady) and was able to do 20 burst damage with bad draws and not even full combo on turn 7

Reno paladin feels so nice. I don’t even have enough dust to get the new colossal but in all honesty it isn’t even necessary to win. I run kazakusan instead so when end game rolls around I can beat out mirror matches.
