I think that was the card that inspired the shortening of energy symbols in the first place. anything over 4 now i feel has a number and single symbol.

Dreamtide Whale is going to be an auto include in my Loot, tKtE sudo-counters deck. Bristly Bill, Kibo Uktabi Prince, Tarrian's Soulcleaver, Flaming Tyrannosaurus, Animar soul of elements, forgotten ancient, railway brawler, sisterhood of karn, the thirteenth doctor, laelia the blade reforged, Rhythm of the wild, Sporocyst, Beastmaster ascension, and geralf the fleshwright all will love this whale! Also, it's a great target to use Dragon Throne of tarkir on which i also run. Just love it

Salvation Colossus is probably the only card I actually got excited for. I want to put it in my artifact vehicle deck that doesn't care about energy.

With the energy counters, it's likely a readability thing. They might just have determined that at a certain cutoff point, it is difficult to determine at a glance how much energy symbols are printed on the card, thereby determining that they should just write out the number. Or, it is a layout thing - if the text in the line the energy counters are mentioned doesn't have enough space for all the icons, then since they likely don't want to have a weird line break, they just write it out.

Solar transformer seems pretty good. Ir's a shame that it can't tap the tunr it comes in, but if you play it turn 1 or 2 you aren't gonna care too much 90% of the time, and later you won't really need it.

My Unesh deck is definitely a threat too😂. I’ve added a ton of ramp and protection in it to make sure it keeps running even if I’m targeted

A lot of the listed spoilers look like they're in the commander block. The icon kinda gives it away. Honestly, this recent Modern block feels more like 30% modern, 70% commander.

I think its just inconsistency. Also its new vs older cards. Maybe they kept the old style in a few but because of the text length on some of the cards they have to write it out.

I know MH3 is supposed to be for modern, but even in a 1v1 I don't think Dreamtide Whale will ever leave because of vanishing, and a 1v1 is the best case for it leaving due to vanishing.

Salvation Colossus's wording is kind of weird. "whenever you attack, other creatures get +2/+2". Did they mean that whenever salvation colossus attacks, that happens? or it triggers for every creature attacking, every other gets +2/+2? so if you attacked with three creatures, they get +4/+4, 4 creatures they get +6/+6, and so on?

'whenever you attack' means any attack with any creature (basically 'one or more attackers'). It just says 'another' since the colossus itself will never get the bonus. So if only he attacks, all creatures except him would still get +2/+2. And if any amount of other creatures attack, but not him, all creatures except himself get +2/+2. The same happens if he is included in the attack.

How much longer until they stop explaining what landfall does on the card? What's the point of having "landfall" on a card if they then reiterate what landfall is. It's practically evergreen at this point.
