As soon as I saw the new guidelines for when to eliminate pre sterilizing jars, I gave it up like a bad habit. I don't need to do unnecessary work. Love the beautiful pink dress. Perfect for a torrential downpour and grinding meat.

I sincerely all gets better…. And you will eventually have normalcy soon. Thanks for the lard vid.. I am anxious to do this. Be Safe!

Glad you and Robert are fine. Yes, when family and friends are out of reach the spidey senses get to working overtime. I also listen to Ryan Hall when the storms are rolling through. That is one bunch of tallow. And yes, it will keep a long time. You need my grandmother's old grinder. Metal and you get a good arm workout as it is one you have to crank to get it to grind. Lucky so far that you were ablt to catch the leak in the pipes before it did more damage. Hoping that you will not have mold. Just replacing the insulation is a lot.

There you are! We're dealing with the Spring boomers here in SE OK too. So. Much. Rain. We watched a tornado form and move across the lake. -_- I'm doing spring cleaning on the kitchen to prepare for the (hopefully) harvest season! I too, LOVE CANNED PORK. We've got 3 feeders that are now five months old and looking great. We go through the meat here as well...but we do all our own butchering, saving gobs of money! We do 30 to 50 meat chicks, at least two pigs and probably 2 to 3 lambs (come winter! two are just a day old lol and we're already drooling over the thought of chops and shoulder stew). HA. Oh...and rabbits. If you and Robert like lamb, my Katahdins have probably been the easiest and cheapest protein source we've added to our farm...well, minus the 20+ laying ladies. They're easily fenced, don't need complicated shelter, and turn grass, water, and sunshine into a tasty treat! We have the little Nigerian Dwarf goats as well. I'm milking one of the does right now. She had two absolutely GORGEOUS blue-eyed babies! I'll get a vid up of them soon. The buck will be for sale (breeder) and I'm keeping the little doe for a milker. Her momma's doing great for a first timer. They're not as easy as the sheep, but I'm getting used to them...finally. I speak horse. Learning to speak goat is challenging, because unlike horses, goat's are LIARS. 😂😂😂 I'm looking at all my empty jars...thinking of all the homegrown, toxin-free, lovely food that's going in them soon! Good Lord Willing!

I'm so glad your son is okay and y'all are safe. Hopefully your ceiling dries and does well too. I have to say when you were talking about the short crockpot cord I immediately nodded and said Yes! Why do they do that!? Weve had to go out and find a 3 foot extension cord just for small appliances, in which we had to order cause noone sells short extension cords in our area. Y'all stay safe.
