I hope this latest hurricane didn't cause you any issues. Hurricanes seem absolutely terrifying, but I've never been anywhere near when one came through. I guess that's one of the few advantages of living in California. Hope you are feeling a little better these days. ~J

Oh wow - that is a ton of stress! Will be anxious to hear an update on everything next time. Fires are so scary - my stomach was in knots just listening to your story. But, it's wonderful that there were people there to help protect your cabin. I hope it continues to be safe. And I hope that check thief gets caught - what a huge pain to get piled on with all that extra work. Looks like you're taking it all in stride though. Be well!

It took me a few tries to get all the way through the video. LIfe always gets in the way it seems. I am so glad your cabin was spared. I can't imagine the stress you have had recently with checks getting forged, not to mention health wise with your mom. I a. m praying you have many more years together. Thank you for the condolences for my mom. Every time I look at the stitched piece I will remember the fun times. Take care and enjoy those grandbabies.

OHHHH... I am so sorry about all the unplanned things that happened to you, your family and your neighbors!!! OH, the birds... I was glued to the TV waiting for you to say the birds are ok!!! Every year we are watching fires... I drove up hwy 138 yesterday and the devastation from the fires a couple of years ago is still everywhere!!! You are in my thoughts...

It's such a relief their birds are okay. My husband is actually up there right now talking to USFS. He sent me a pic of 138. The traffic is insane because of an accident. I really hope we have a mild winter so there aren't mud slides and flood issues. But then I want it to be a wet winter once it's safe so lots of stuff grows back quickly. Wish fires were not a thing. ~J

Wow, you have been going through a lot. I live in the general vicinity of the fire that threatened your cabin, and I was thinking of you. It was a total surprise when it ballooned up so big. Where I am thankfully didn't end up in danger, but on that Tuesday that the fire blew up, the wind was blowing smoke over to our little town and it was crazy how much smoke there was. I am so glad that your cabin made it! And then all the other stuff you had going on at the same time. That is just too much. Wishing you the best!

I'm so sorry you got our smoke. That had to have been miserable. We were lucky here at the house. The bulk of the smoke from the three fires did not head our way. I saw last night one of the fires really flared back up. I haven't checked today, but hoping they get it under control quickly. I know they said they expected it, but with the new evacuation warnings, I kinda wonder if they were actually a little surprised. ~J

Yea, it has been a rough month. I know I'm still very very lucky and I try to remember than in those awful moments where I feel like I'm being crushed by stress. I'm sure you know what that stress weight feels like. ~J

Ohmy, all that you went through, I am so sorry. The checks, the fire, the heat,… Btw. I have been in peri menopause for probably 10 years now and some times my blood work comes back as „normal“. Your Dr. should know that, you then test it again after 3 to 6 months. You don‘t need (or want) hormones for most of the symtoms, there are plant based medications you can take. I found the designer on Etsy. I actually had to reach out to her to see if she would sell it to me because that particular one was not listed on the site. I went in my Etsy messages and found her. Look for Nadya Gavrilenkova (patternnadgavr). She sent me her PayPal email through the message and I paid. She sent it to me right away. It's called Tropical Paradise and it was very reasonably priced, although that was Feb of 2021. Good luck!
