Oh man, there is no better R&B and Soul music than 70s music. The 70s were hard for a lot of people but the music carried us through it.

Amber, you're correct--the 60's and the 70's are considered THEE golden eras of (then called) soul music. And with no auto-tune. Most of the R&B of today just can't hold a candle to the voices and songwriting of old. Plus, there was a wealth of it back then! I'm so happy that reactors like yourselves are discovering this amazing music. Thank you.

One of my favorite songs from the 70s. I would call this classic soul, I loved the rhythm and Al Wilson blew it out of the park with his smooth and sensual voice. Went to #1 on the billboard hot 100 in early,1974

What do you think...if the songs of the 60`s & 70`s that were #1`s were given the airtime now do you think they would be #1 all over again... I think the answer would be most definitely. Peace and brother love to you and all.

And this is why us older people who grew up listening to the music from the 60s and 70s love it so . After listening to the music, i hope you can understand why , i know you can't go back and see how things were but at least you can get a taste of what we listen to . Although times getting shorter , i would not change a thing music wise

Growing up during this era of music, l feel blessed. Sideshow by Blue Magic, Shoo Shoo Shine by the Dynamic Superiors, even Fish Aint Bitin by Lamont Dozier all music from the heart, Me as a young man could really identify with these songs, a great era.

Listen to Al Wilson The Snake. It introduced me to the world of (what we in the UK call) Northern Soul. What an absolute floorshaker.
