The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game's progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, such as Death mode and revengeance mode five new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than thirty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.
The Sulphurous Sea, also known as the Sulphur Sea, is a biome added by the Calamity Mod which spawns upon world creation. It replaces the Ocean on the Dungeon side, and is located on top of the Abyss. Its rough shoreline is primarily composed of Sulphurous Sand, often generating with various small uneven pools of water. The surface sands also grow dozens of Acidwood Trees. The main body of water in the middle of the biome contains a large central hole, which leads into the Abyss. On the other side of the main sea, a large island is generated which extends towards the edge of the world. The surface and the underside of the island contain a high concentration of sulphurous pots, which contain Sulphuric Treasures.

its pretty confusing without a proper guide. This calamitymod.wiki.gg/wiki/Guide:Class_setups will give you an idea of what to get (which will direct you to all the bosses, biomes, etc..) Biome reworks and other Calamity updates take a while to update so its better if you just play! there will never be a "perfect" time to play Calamity.

there are many melee swing vfx on the tmodloader workshop! The one I use is ArmamentDisplay (displays weapon you're holding and also swing + item glow fx)

Most likely a world gen bug (maybe cuz a clash of different content mods?) Only thing u can really do is make a new world...

sulphurous sea biome rework is released, abyss still not finished. However the infernum mod (calamity addon) is currently reworking the abyss biome!
