Trying a new variable length introduction instead of the standard length ones. This way, if I say 'shit' at let's say 6 seconds into the video, I just put 10 seconds of intro in and then I say shit at 16 seconds and that avoids the video being entirely demonetised. I also think it'll help solve the cratering retention from people clicking off to watch other sites, while that's good for those sites when KZbin sees that they stop recommending the video altogether even to the rest of my KZbin subscribers. In an even more literal sense than you might think - most games have plasma weapons fire big globs of self-sustaining plasmoids (which are actually physically impossible, sorry). In Neb, it's just a magnetic bottle containing plasma that breaks open when it crashes against the side of a ship.

@@taco5225 There are a lot of reasons why those would not work in space over the distances needed for long distance warfare. In any case, this game still has somewhat unrealistic plasma. Plasma (if it's feasible) ought to be an even more specialized knife fight weapon, or even a PD weapon similar to chaff. Alternatively you might have cause to load it onto a drone or missile platform and have it as either part of the warhead or as an engagement tool during transit. Alternatively, plasma only exists as a weaponized drive plume. A lot of short range things are feasible on a missile or drone, and remote systems are underutilized from what I've seen so far. (For an example of what could be done-missiles with PD guns! Missiles with missiles! Drones with missiles that are themselves missiles! Missiles that produce chaff in front of an enemy, so that their own missiles explode early!)

I’m waiting for alternate ship configurations for size classes… (this may exist tbh, I haven’t played in a while because I had to purge my steam installs to make space on my laptop’s suit front pocket of a drive, or in other words: it’s damn TINY for a modern pc) I want to be able to mount beams on more than just destroyers and… I think one of the heavier classes has a mount? Make a dedicated ECM ship with a second full-size reactor to run everything then watch it cook off twice as strong twice as often xD

@@JC12223 destroyers, heavy cruisers and battleships can mount beams. The closest to a dedicated EWAR/ECM is a sprinter, since it's usually for scouting and jamming.

@@JC12223 you can, I have a frigate with 2 blankets and a Comms jammer. It's in a starting fleet aswell. Can't mount the disco balls but I have, in 100 hours of playing, seen them used once since they just aren't very good. Edit: You can't get a radar but you can fit a bullseye, which is just as good when supporting a larger fleet. It's about 400 pts, so you have 2600 for missiles or guns or a beam or rail guns if you are criminally insane.
