After I retired from my regular job I went to work part time for Home Depot, electrical/plumbing. One night while working plumbing this eighty or so old lady came in and said, son where do you keep your f--t fans? I almost went to the floor, I couldn't help the laughter that came from me. I couldn't stop myself. She got a big kick out of it also. The things you never forget.

First, Sam, your are an amazing dad. Within seconds of your child screaming in distress, you were alert, surmised the call for help, and responded immediately. You are one of the 5% of fathers who have and use this gene. Second, your feral children have only one speed, fast forward. Precious little boys that there are and they truly are precious. Third, you do not require teasers to keep us coming back. We love your channel and can't wait for your next video. My Daughter and I are also both smell sensitive, going shopping can be a real (literal) pain some times. Avoid the perfume areas most times and where they have air fresheners makes us mad if someone is spraying a bunch to smell them when most times if you sniff around the opening it will have a smell. And then there is the occasional person who smells like they took a bath in a bottle of perfume, either its a strong one or they put on a ton.

It will be interesting to see if the wiring to your shop is oversized enough to handle an on-demand electric water heater. Everything else in the soap shack could easily be handled. Usually these heaters want at least 50 amps of power. For me, they were out of expectation. My house only has 100 amp service to begin with. With running water also comes freeze protection. The wood panels looked very familiar to me. As I recall they are marketed as flooring underlayment. But they are way too pretty for that. Looks far better than standard luan and does not have any knots. I used it to panel my bathroom when I did a tub to shower conversion. Then just applied a water based polyurethane to seal it. I figured I could paint it or wall paper after that if I wanted. But I have liked just the clear coat. Cost less than the fake paper panelling stuff.

May I make a suggestion? Check with your local habitat for humanity store to see if they have a stove exhaust fan (maybe in the back somewhere) and then if they don't ask them to take your number down in case they get one. AND also check on your local marketplace on Facebook, AND your local Craigslist for one. People renovating homes/kitchens are literally throwing them away, so don't let the price of a new one scare you off from getting one.

We've had both tank and tankless hot water heaters over the last 40 years. The tankless gave us an endless hot water supply. No matter which kind we had there's always a lag in the delivery according to distance from heater, if the pipes were in unheated basement etc. When we switched from a tank to tankless our electric or natural gas,whichever the heater was, dropped exponentially. We've had both types Which makes sense, since there wasn't a tank constantly heating and reheating water retained. We had an electric one in a home that was cheaper than a tank heater.
@kathyusa-iowa51374 жыл бұрын
And if you get a natural gas version, it will make it even cheaper to run. Plus not all those behemoth tanks in the landfill‼️

Sam I what's to do several construction jobs on your homestead. We are doing a shed to house Homestead and we've noticed that our shed actually leaks underneath the wall framing we have skirting on and we have even put down caulk between the frame and the floor but it still is getting wet under floor we sprayed the bottom of the floor with a closed cell foam insulation. Your thoughts, advice and such (including prayers) would be very appreciated. P.S. I am the same one that suggested tankless earlier. My Zinnor in my shed erupted that night.....Not happy! Roof looks great. I'm going white but that gray is pretty cool. plus the cat was out of the bag when she held up the screws that read Charcoal Gray! hahaha
@kathyusa-iowa51374 жыл бұрын
Tankless always. It's the same distance to the faucet whether it's a tank or tankless. Both carry unheated until the heated gets there. Period. There are other options than electric. Like natural gas, which is going to be cheaper to run in most parts of the country. You don't have to keep 40 or more gallons of water hot to have ready just in case. So it is more environmentally friendly. You are only heating water when you need it, and only the amount you need. The units don't rust away like a tank does, because water doesn't sit in them. They can be repaired and last much longer. Europe has been using them successfully for years. We are such a throw away society that we think we are above conservation. PLEASE go tankless❗ Save the landfill, if nothing else. 🙏

You know 🤔 children repeat things they hear. Well our 1st granddaughter was 3 years old and she heard her Mom & Dad say this and I had never heard it. Well she went into our bathroom and she reached up to turn on the light and then she says to me I have to turn on the "f**t fan". Well I look at her calmly and say we don't say that and she says Mommy & Daddy says it. I repeated we don't say that a Grandma's house. She never said that at our house again. But when I told my husband he died laughing and I had to laugh.
