You could always create a sheet metal gated shifter plate under the shifter boot with the kind of micro switches that have a spring loaded boot attached in each valley, when you shift it would click the micro switch for the correct gear. Pin each one into the ecu, then tell the ecu to convert which pin in it gets signal on into a gear number for the boost controller

Boost by speed is the best option especially on a street machine where traction is a real issue. Might want to add a sensor to the front end to help dialing it in

Hey Gavin. Just an idea. Try putting a paddle or a switch on the steering wheel that when you change gears, you flip that switch or paddle and it changes the power output almost like a formula 1 car. For example... your in 1st and u have 5 lbs, when you shift to 2nd and u wanna have 8 lbs, you flip the paddle and it changes the boost controller setting.

on good ECUs you can actually even cater for loosing traction by simply adding in a 2nd wheel speed sensor to the front wheel and then the difference is slip and you can add counter measures to stop it from roasting your tire and then of course you will use the front wheel for speed reference and boost by speed,gear, time. It also helps when you wheelie to not add additional boost and keep control of your car :-) I Think the AMS also has the toolset to measure the rate of wheel speed acceleration with this you can program in how fast the wheel can spin until it will wee it as slip/loosing traction and then of course it will not add boost or anything else. It can then control timing or throttle to stop it. There is a lot you can learn about that stuff in the net..... You can do the front wheel speed yourself! All it needs is some small magnets and a Hall sensor. Mount the magnets somewhere safe on the hub and the sensor on top of it and use this as wheel speed sensor.
