This upgraded kitchen has 54 outstanding Fails with regards to quality issues! These have now waited in excess of nearly 7 months to be repaired.
Is your kitchen a hub for your and your family? Please ensure your kitchen is safe and not a potential fire hazard like this one.
Symphony kitchens have now failed to appear on three separate occasions and are now ignoring our emails and calls.
This kitchen cost nearly £4k, the home over a quarter of a million pounds. Whilst that might not seem like a lot of money - to us hard working career professionals it is.
The house builders and kitchen installers need to be held responsible for taking peoples money and held accountable until snags and low quality defects are repaired and or replaced.
Really we did not want to have to take this kind of action, but our calls, emails and text messages have just been simply ignored.
These houses on this estate are full of faults, and whilst we accept that it's anew build there will always be faults - we expect the house builder and contractors to repair issues in good reasonable time. That's simply not happening.
We also appreciate that our instance or experience may not be the same for every Persimmon / Symphony Kitchen buyer.
We have just basically been fobbed off enough, we are tired, we are exasperated, we feel very angry, annoyed and let down.

We have a Symphony kitchen in our Redrow, totalling in excess of 400 snags that we're still fighting Redrow over. The kitchen was installed wrong, sage with sage trims rather than sage with ivory. This after a lot of fighting pre completion got changed but as a result it was bodged and nothing is in alignment. All soft closes are broken / missing / faulty, most units have blown areas, cupboards and extractor not in alignment. Protective strip for dishwasher steam faulty which was reported dozens of times and chased dozens of times now has resulted in the worktop peeling off. We have the boiler door hanging off one hinge which can land on my 2 year olds head if it breaks another hinge. Our fridge freezer wasn't installed correctly and the trays were cracked, as it's been left almost 3 years and the door hasn't been installed correctly neither resulting in frosting up. This caused all the drawers to become brittle and break apart. The whole kitchen including worktops all need replacing and Redrow haven't said anything about it. We've pushed all our issues into the media (telegraph, mirror, dailymail, devon live, the sun etc), we've also pushed our MP to hammer Michael Gove for legal enforcement of standards. Strongly suggest you also do the same.

Did you ever manage to get them to fix all this? Was looking at a new build by persimmon in saltcoats but have seen some horror stories

Any updates on this mate? Really shocking worksmanship. I've had plenty issues with my Symphony kitchen in my persimmon home, the install is horrid. We are buying another new persimmon home but are going with the Howdens kitchen for it.

Hi BazzaL85, nope no reply, no response. We are now approaching 9 months with this kitchen and tbh there's a whole lot more we've found wrong with it. Reckon we must be up at 80+ faults with the fitted kitchen now. Persimmon have been out 15+ times to review it since Dec'20 and Symphony Kitchens 10+ times for adjustments and inspection. On 4 maybe 5 occasions now, Symphony have failed to even appear, but hadn't cancelled any appointments with us. Just left in limbo. We had in excess of 150+ snags with our home. Absolutley deplorable treatment, they don't want to know. Will never buy another Persimmon home ever again and would not recommend them to anyone.

@@raisciortino921 how do you get a howden kitchen in a persimmon house? Do thy give you that choice?

@@portiachijena4642 you will be given a choice of design which varies from site to site. This is normally what designs and styles the sales office have on site.
