Not all planes are created equal, this one is really unique. Join me as I review the Precision Aerobatics Addiction XL. This plane is really old, it was crashed pretty badly and I put it together to see what it can do! I really think this is a solid honest review of a 3D plane.

Thanks for the video and the help from your how to videos. I have an ADXl and it's a blast, but my twisted hobbys 39 inch foamy is my trainer. Keep them coming! And hey from Idaho!

Hey Lee! Great hearing from you! Practice going well? And I do believe the TH planes are by far the best for learning. Fewer penalty points for sure.

A couple guys at the field have these. One of the guys has 3. He recommends it highly. He says it flies almost like a foamy. As far as wind. It's almost always at least 5-8 mph wind with gusts from 13-25 at the field and yes these guys are pretty good pilots, but this plane doesn't seem to be affected by the wind much. They can still hover and do low KE high alfa passes. But you're right. I can't talk myself into one yet because of how it looks. Plus, the more smaller stuff I buy makes the big plane I want farther and farther into the future.

Interesting, I wouldn’t have ever guessed they would be all that good in the wind. It seems like it would just be a kite. I cannot say that I see massive benefits over a foamy. A good twisted hobbies plane has a much higher value toward learning. For some, it may be an end goal plane and for that it would serve well. For others, it’s a steep investment that slows getting a big gasser. For me, it was $100 and some elbow grease. It was a deal that I couldn’t pass up. One man’s junk… If you have some building skills and the patients to do the work right, a used plane can be a great opportunity to save. Yet, if that isn’t in your wheelhouse, it can be an endless nightmare that will end up costing you far more money and time in the end. Used planes are always a gamble.

I have one of these, very easy to do 3D with..gives me a false sense of ability and then I jump onto one of my Extreme Flight planes and realize quickly I am not as good as I thought I was lol

Yessir, it takes a lot of the work out of the flying. Yet it’s a great giggle plane. I love the lite and fluffy feel of it. It truly was the second time I’d ever flown it. I got it several years ago and it was all busted up, I just never had the want to to actually fix it. One of the comments inspired me to get off my duff and get it flying.

They’ve (PA)been around for a long time but I’ve never seen one at our field. Kind of like the profile planes from the mid 2000s

They have been around I bought this one busted up for $100 like four years ago. They’re a little different than profile planes in that they have a much longer tail moment and that makes it more solid in high alpha. I had a fe of the old OMP profiles back in the day. I gotta tell ya I learned a lot from them!

Excellent! I hope it build nicely. Make sure you cover it using park lite Ultracote and not the standard ultracote. You will absolutely notice the difference in the weight. Thanks again for your support!

@@RC-Air ohhh...

Interesting, I had never considered the fact that you would be so limited in your access. Please forgive my ignorance. I do hope it works out well for you and your build provides you many hours of enjoyment and learning. I only really have KZbin and my www.RC-AIR.com platform, you are welcome to join it and interact with me there. My goal is to turn each of my videos into an interactive article that will help people with their questions. It is a slow process, but it’s starting to come together. Thanks again for your support!

That was a fun little experiment! Swapped servos got in the car and knocked out a few flights right before dark. Probably the quickest I’ve turned a video around.
