Ibn Taymiyyah refutes the stance of the Mushabbihah (those who liken the creation with God: anthropomorphism) and those who deny, negate, and resort to allegorical/metaphorical interpretations of the Divine Names and Attributes. He contends that the methodology of the Salaf is to take the middle path between the extremes of anthropomorphism and negation/distortion. He further states that the Salaf affirmed (ithbaat)all the Names and Attributes of God without tashbih (establishing likeness), takyeef (speculating as to "how" they are manifested in the divine), taʿteel (negating/denying their apparent meaning) and without taʾweel (giving it secondary/symbolic meaning which is different from the apparent meaning). [Al-Aqidah Al-Waasitiyyah]

Maulana Yunus Nomani RH has discussed the belief of ilmul Ghaib and Noor aur Bashar and the Brelvis stance on this. He provides references to their beliefs from their books and this is in total opposition to what Maulana Hasan has stated. U can search for Yunus Nomani. The vids r available on uTube in Urdu.

Imam al-Haafiz adh-Dhahabi said: As Allah exists in a real sense, not metaphorically, His attributes cannot be taken as metaphorical, because in that case they could not be divine attributes, because the attributes are connected to the one who possesses those attributes. As He exists in a real sense, not in a metaphorical sense, His attributes cannot be metaphorical. As there is nothing equal or similar to Him, there can be nothing like His attributes. I really like listening to the Shaykh. I am Barelwi. I would like to correct you on one point. Yes, we do believe that prophet Muhammad sawas had as much knowledge as Allah gave him. All Muslims do. However, our Aqeedah on this is clear. We believe Allah granted Prophet Muhammad sawas with all the knowledge of the unseen through wahi. You, believe in baaz ilm e ghaib. We believe in Qul ilm e ghaib. This is not Shirk. Fools call this Shirk. Allah grants knowledge of what He wills. Prophet Muhammad sawas is the receiver of knowledge of the Unseen. Not the author nor the source.

As much as I love this sheikh I don't agree with what he said if a person says Allah has a hand that it isn't kufr.. All the greatest imams like imam Shafa'i Rahimullah & Imam Ahmed Hanbali Rahimullah & Jaffar At Tahawi Rahimullah said such statements is kufr.

Quran and hadiths are enough for any Muslim. The basic rule, other than this is misguidance, if not immediate then in future generation. It is time all come to this. No need to wonder, judging or investigating anything but quran Quran o sunnah. If any tries to take his support from anything other then this, he will not be helping anyone. They can say anything but if one checks their books, it will be wide open.

@@abbou1218 Atiullah wa rasool, I meant that, mentioned in Quran many times. Means follow Allah & Rasool, and Quran and ahadees are the source. But when u read ahadees u have to ensure the correct understanding and its authenticity. For that there are studies done by ulemas to check the truthfulness of the ahadees and what & how the prophet and the sahabi understood it, if not found then go to next generation then next. I hope u understand now.

Your point no.1: Go to the sufis and discuss the issues. Refutation: It has been done by the numerous qualified scholars numerous times and unfortunately the sufis never listen. Your point no.2: There are some goodness in the sufis. Refutation: "They ask you about intoxicants and gambling: say, In them there is a gross "ithm" (sin), and some benefits for the people. But their sinfulness far outweighs their benefit." [Quran, 2:219] Now according to your logic, there should not be problem in taking intoxicants. Your point no. 3: For the sake of 'unity', let the wrong-doers do the wrong things. Refutation: "That He should establish the truth and abolish falsehood, even if the criminals disliked it." [Quran, 8:8] Your point no. 4: Regarding Imam Abu Hanifa's quotation, no hadiths can be found contradicting his opinions. Refutation: In fact, the existence of so called 4 madhabs (i.e., 4 different sets of opinions) strongly supports the claim that the imams were occasionally wrong on several matters. Imam Shafi (ra) was more clear regarding this: ""When the Hadith is established as authentic in opposition to my statement, then act according to the Hadith and abandon my statement." Your point no. 5: Dr. Zakir Naik is an excellent Da'ee, but not a qualified scholar. Refutation: In this particular regard (keeping hands below the navel), Dr. Zakir Naik did not give or issue his own opinions. He just conveyed what he learned from the qualified scholars regarding this matter. Your point no. 6: Pray as you see your father used to pray! Refutation: An utter rejection of the authentic hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Pray as you have seen me praying.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari. Are you sure that you're not following your own desire here? Your point no. 7: Regarding Sura Nisa verse 59. Refutation: Did you mean what Allah prescribes here (i.e., going back to Allah and His messenger (peace be upon him) if you would differ) is no longer logical? Speak clearly to make your point. I don't know who these people are listening to Mr. Hasan Ali's lecture and pose questions to him, but what I surely know is that whosoever are doing so are just wasting their times.

Tarek Mohammad Why are you only bringing out what YOU consider to be mistakes?! He (Hasan Ali) said that he himself still makes mistakes! I hate people like you! SHAME ON YOU! You just come and try to remove all the good that came out of this man's mouth! Why did you not mention ANY of the good things he said! It is because you like the Shaytan will bring out the negative energy around people so that they FORGET the goodness of people like Shaykh Hasan Ali! I really pity you and Hope that Allah Gives you Hidayat! May Allah safeguard me from saying anything wrong and Allah Knows Best!

Hamdan Bartawi The absolute reference is the Glorious Quran and the Authentic Hadiths. Whosoever's opinion is consistent with the absolute reference, he/she is correct. Unfortunately, Mr. Hasan Ali couldn't provide the references to support what he said. Rather he contradicted the absolute reference on several occasions. For instance, Mr. Hasan Ali suggested to pray as you saw your father used to pray. This is an utter denial of what Rasulullah (pbuh) said: 'pray as you see me pray'. What a shame! Then how should a new converted muslim pray whose father was not muslim? "And mix not truth with falsehood...." [Sura Baqarah, verse#42] You hate me? That's the only thing you can do: to be heedless of the absolute truth and hate the people who preach and practice it. "That He might cause the truth to triumph and bring falsehood to nothing, even though the Mujrimun (disbelievers/polytheists/sinners/ criminals) hate it." [Sura Anfal, verse#8]

Your other point - He just conveyed what he learned from the qualified scholars regarding this matter. - regarding Zakir Nayik! YOU imbecile just agreed that Zakir Nayik IS NOT A SCHOLAR and if Zakir Nayik is relaying what he heard from other Scholars - then he should be careful not to speak about things he can't back up! To that point - Ahmad Deedat - When it came to something that needed explanation and in-depth understanding - he clearly said come and sit with one of the scholars later on! In all cases and in my opinion - I have respect for all of them because they are all trying to do the same thing - give back to Islam in the best way they know how or according to their maximum potential and capabilities that Allah Has allowed for them! The guy clearly looks sick and is on pills and yet he came to share his knowledge simply to speak to his fellow Muslims - AAAAhhh! What a great man! As for you - You are despicable! To come and lash out at peoples efforts!

Hamdan Bartawi Stop spreading false as it is forbidden in Islam. Zakir Naik gave reference to support his position (a hadiths from ibn Khuzayma which is graded authentic by many Muhaddiths). According to that Sahih narration, binding the hands on the chest is the Sunnah of Prophet (pbuh). The hadiths regarding binding the hands below the navel is weak as graded by the Muhaddiths. So neither Zakir Naik nor Mr. Hasan Ali has anything to do with this grading. Go educate yourself and accept the truth before making comments on who's wrong and who's right. Ok? While many qualified scholars and da'ees are indeed trying to convey the truth to the people, some deviants like Mr. Hasan Ali and his arrogant followers like you are hurting their efforts by confusing the public. Clearly (from this video), Mr. Hasan Ali is backing up the deviant Sufi practices and he gives priorities to his Madhaab over the Sunnah of Prophet(pbuh). The fact that a student studied with a madhhab does not mean that he cannot go beyond it if he finds sound evidence elsewhere; the only one who stubbornly clings to a particular madhhab (regardless of the evidence) is one who lacking in religious commitment and intellect, or he is doing that because of partisan attachment to his madhhab. The advice of the leading imams is that students should acquire knowledge from where they acquired it, and they should ignore the words of their imams if they go against the hadeeth of the Prophet SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Be mindful of your language and be afraid of Allah! you must be accountable in front of Him. "And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way, We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination!" [Sura Nisa, verse#115] End.

Hamdan Bartawi The teachings of Prophet (pbuh) are not only for his companions (RA) but also for his entire Ummah till the Last day and his Sunnah is well preserved. You don't have to blindly follow one madhaab contradicting and/or ignoring the truth (Authentic Hadiths), specially when Hadiths were not fully compiled and narrations were not scrutinized at the times of the four Imams. Many highly qualified scholars came after these 4 Imams and they all stressed to follow the Authentic Hadiths. There was never a shortage of highly qualified scholars in the Ummah. So why restricting to the four Imams? Alhumdulillah, we know how Prophet (pbuh) used to pray as Sunnah is fully complied and well-preserved and we should copy him as far as any Ibaadah is concerned. None of the four Imams called people to follow his madhhab, or was partisan in following it, or obliged anyone else to act in accordance with it or with a specific madhhab. Rather they used to call people to follow the Qur’aan and Sunnah, and they would comment on the texts of Islam THAT WERE AVAILABLE TO THEM, and explain its basic principles and discuss minor issues according to general guidelines, and issue fatwas concerning what people asked about, without obliging any of their students or anyone else to follow their views. The mujtahid either gets it right, in which case he will have two rewards, the reward for his ijtihaad and the reward for getting it right, or he will get it wrong, in which case he will be rewarded for his ijtihaad and will be forgiven for his mistake. I already quoted Imam Shafi in my first comment to this video. Offering Salaat is one of fundamentals of Islam. A new converted who just said Kalima but does not pray is not really a Muslim. He should learn how the Prophet (pbuh) used to pray and should not blindly follow anyone else. 4 madhabs cannot make this Ummah united because 4 CANNOT BE EQUAL TO 1. Following one Prophet (pbuh) can make this Ummah united IN SIRAATUL MUSTAQIM.
