With training, this power could be incredibly potent. You could disarm criminals by making their weapons float into the air. You could pin criminals to the ground until the police arrive. You could ground flying villains. You could lift someone who takes their strength from their connection to the Earth (think Antaeus) off the ground. I just wished writers would utilize this power more; it's very underrated.

I know I’m very late to this party, but I don’t think many people do gravity powers simply for a few reasons; 1. At basic, gravity powers are kind of lame believe it or not. Its the weakest of the Four Fundamentals of the universe. In order for a gravity user to make any kind of notable difference, he would need to have complete and utter control over the force, basically be a humanoid embodiment of Gravity. To be able to create a black hole and have control over what it can absorb as opposed to immediately engulfing everything is a level of power your most average gravity user just does not have. 2. A lot of existing superpowers could very easily just kill an average gravity user, such as lasers, light and even wind. 3. Anyone who wields telekineses at a massive scale, would be able to manipulate the energy that fuels gravitons themselves, thereby rendering the gravity user utterly powerless. But this part is based on a scale of Gods vs Gods. While gravity manipulation seems really cool, when you really think about it, its kind of lame unless you basically *are* the force of gravity. The other Fundamentals would be a much better choice. Telekineses is also much better and far more potentially powerful ability as you can end up manipulating the very energy of the universe if you’re strong enough.

you could create a planet and drop it on earth ,you could take water and make it in to graviton ice through compressing it with high amounts of gravity you could create an orbital force field that sends what ever is hot at you back at a person , you could make molecularly dense neutron stars you could simulate flight use gravity to give you super strength and to tear people apart by creating multiple black holes around them so it pulls different parts of the body.you could also spin the earth backwards rewinding time to any point in your own life ..... and thats about it

@@susantanaga301 Now that I think about it I can seriously expand this list of abilities that you can use with gravity manipulation and Personally I think it could worse then that , like imagine if using gravity manipulation a user can compress parts of the atmosphere to make the air within an area act like A solid to hold a object in stasis or really start playing with black hole using man made worm hole theory, or creating star matter of all kind by compressing hydrogen to the point of creating nuclear fusion. Imagine changing the gravitational pull of a object to force object to fly to that point in a room or doing the opposite their are a lot of crazy ways to play with gravity , you could even manipulate the flow of times speed with gravity... It can get fucking nuts man

Gravity manipulation. An awesome power that can be used to stop bad guys by increasing gravity to stop them from moving, or by smashing part of their getaway car (preferably the engine). I would use it for this reason alone, to be a hero and stop bad guys by crushing their car or increasing gravity till they cannot move. Though gravity manipulation is nothing compared to chronokinesis, which can simulate superspeed and even REVERSE DAMAGE TAKEN.

Hey man, your comment was 3+ years ago and I just discovered this channel. But since Einstein proved through mathematical models that gravity curves spacetime. With enough practice, someone who is proficent in gravity manipulation could not only themselves distort time to a certain extent but they could also manipulate the time manipulation abilities of chronokinetics by simply applying a high enough gravitational force around a chronokinetic so as to bend spacetime around them. Assuming this doesn't kill the chronokinetic. Also someone with gravity manipulation could induce a high enough gravitational force around them (not on them as it would kill them) such that spacetime becomes warped around said person and even if a chronokinetic stopped time they would encounter a sort of forcefield of distorted spacrtime around the gravity manipulator that would basically make them untouchable.

The amount of stuff you could do with this ability is crazy You can bend gravity to make the environment very “heavy” or “light” cause objects to “fall” toward another object instead of the earth (“nexus inducing”) flatten objects and generate miniature black holes to compress objects into oblivion. The ability can repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis so with enough practice it could be just as good as telekinesis. The offensive uses of this power could include repulsing people or objects with such force to shatter practically anything increasing gravity to crush or immobilize opponents decreasing it to render them defenseless or surrounding one's body in a gravitational field to amplify physical strength. The defensive uses could include creating a gravitational force-field to repel all manner of attacks or anchoring oneself to the ground. And to top everything else of if you could for instance do the following things Gravitational Adaptation Gravitational Energy Manipulation Gravity Based Attacks Gravity Based Constructs Gravitational Defiance Gravitational Flight And so much more The only two i got left is 1. By manipulating gravity in a certain way a person could theoretically slow down or accelerate time which is a whole different can of worms And 2. Instead of creating a black hole that sucks all matter and light in you could theoretically create a hole that spits out matter or pure light a light hole if you would the implication here is you also have the ability to create hole that make matter but also you can create holes that generate pure light probably to the point where you could use it as a sort of energy based projectile attack To put it bunty this ability has a lot of potential

Using the ability properly, a person could create a thin shield of gravitational force that is on par with a neutron star, but using their power to cancel out their massive gravity to be practically invulnerable. Or use the ability to make their normal punches feel as if a planet were being swung around

Or use the power to fly. Or to create plasma by forcing the oxygen/carbon dioxide/ nitrogen to fuse, but still using the gravity to contain the energy and heat in a gravity bubble. Or bending light around them selves to become invisible. Or to bend space and time to teleport and time travel. OR, to become a super massive black hole the size of the sun as a last ditch effort to make sure that the enemy the person is fighting to not escape if they are a highly deadly advisary, such as a person with reality warping or super strength on the level of superman prime 10,000 who also has some invulnerability.

Imagine being an alien on a foreign planet, lightyears away from Earth. Suddenly a small marble is detected at 100B miles away, but knowingly to you, it is the mass/density of a literal dwarf star. It speeds up, leveraging a gravity swinging using it's own gravity, then... BOOM! It impacts your planet, utterly destroying it and everyone living on it. It probably passed by your sun and sucked all the gases, if not already have pulled your solar system towards it. And all because you accidentally were fighting and sent a dwarf marble into space. It would probably drag multiple solar systems behind it as well so at some point they would all collide and cause a giant explosion.

On the superpower wiki there’s a power called meta gravity manipulation, the ultimate form of GM, basically you can manipulate the gravity of everything in the universe/multiverse not mattering whether they are physical locations such as higher dimensions, heaven or hell or metaphysical locations such as the dream world. Apparently you can possess omni energy manipulation, size manipulation, vector manipulation, particle manipulation, matter/dark matter manipulation and meta space time manipulation. I know it’s more on the fictional side but how can you do those? Remember it’s not normal gravity manipulation it’s the ultimate form of GM.

Thinking is too small. You can change the gravity of a specific object, and then increase the pull of gravity. For instance picking up a rock and changing its gravity to fall horizontally, and increase the gravity to make it move the speed if a bullet, tearing through an object (or person)
