Brilliant idea regarding the filter, adding the brass connections. We do plan on doing a similar thing when we get our van next year, so thanks for the tip regarding brass. As for the stone protection, we plan on sticking to sealed roads, but this is Australia, so there's likely to be road works for the last (and next) 6 months on some sections of highway, throwing you on poorly, or unsealed roads for anything up to a few km at a time. It only takes one rock in the wrong place to crack a water pipe, smack an electrical cable, or even hit the handle of a tank drain, leaving you with big issues. Simple split conduit protection of electrical cables, split foam insulation on water pipes, mudflaps at the front of the van, and strategic underbody stone guards made from shade cloth can cost just a few hundred dollars in total, but extend the life of the exposed parts massively, and thus give you a higher chance of a problem-free holiday. I do like your idea of metal valves as well. Oh and you earned a new subscriber too - thanks for the video

Thank you so much for watching and interacting with us, we just wanted to share our experience so far and are aware that one size does not fit all when it comes to these things, but if just a couple of things jog something that you hadn't thought of then our work is done :) Thanks for the support!
