I would. It is times more lilkey that the russians have re-evaluated their priority target and thus ruled out and empty silo off their hitlist, as they don't waste warheads on an empty base; they have countless other active strategic targets they have to take car of. In fact, they do satellite runs over the country to analyse and assess the US strategic capacities and plan their strike options accordingly. They also make sure that every silo registered as decomissioned has been properly and exhibitly neutralized (the silo slide roof has been taken out and completely roofed/paved over, or jammed with noticeable blocks, welds and other measures that can be seen from space).

I'd get the missile silo base thing, but now it says it's $995,000 for the original 19 acres, added on to that you can also get 4 acres with a log cabin for $259,000, a 10 acre runway lot w/ hanger for $150,000, 7 lots with about 8 acres each for $476,000, and 125 more acres (undivided) for $150,000, so if you buy the ENTIRE set of properties that go together it's $2,030,000

1:21 : nothing will survive direct nuclear hit no matter its durability because during the first seconds of the detonation the ground zero (were the bomb hits) its actually hotter than the suns core temperature due to the thermonuclear reaction, this will evaporate anything faster than you can blink in so a direct hit from a nuke to the bunker will mean its inevitable destruction, I guess what he meant to say is that this door can survive a blast wave after the initial hit.

Michael Broetje its 141 million. you have to remember its 100 acres of land and an active airport as well as a house
@icynok10 жыл бұрын
the most expensive part would be the renovations, and also remember, they still havn't done anything with the part where the missile used to be placed, the missle silo is only about half way done :) i'd turn that part into bedrooms and rent them out considering there is 100 acres of land there also.

haha I know right where this is, these are scattered all over up here. Pretty sure this is the one near the Redford/Standish area. Upstate New York was prime real estate for the silos, plus the base was only about 30-40 miles away. Its cool to be able to see the inside finally i had heard they had converted this one into a house. I can only imagine how fun it was to deal with the APA though.

Without the actual silo being usable/livable, you're pretty much looking at 3-story underground house with a landing strip. It would be great if they could make a mock missile in the silo, where you can walk in as a spaceman and press the button and like take-off with hydraulic shocks shacking the missile.
