That is great video footage! She was really wanting some company! That was the most vociferous hen I have ever heard! And you could hear that old gobbler in the distance really liked it too! Thank you for sharing that, that made my morning!

Thanks for checking it out! She sure was talking and putting on a show. Was in our lap for over 30 minutes and the gobblers all around us were loving it, just never would commit and come in to check her out.

Do you remember when this was? Mid April? Mid - May? Which State was this filmed at? Excellent footage!
@GGGoutdoorsKingdomConnection10 ай бұрын
This would have been mid May in West Virginia. Was getting pretty close to the end of our season here at that point. One of the best hen segments I’ve ever captured. Thanks for watching we really appreciate it!

I noticed when she’s cutting she’s making pauses in between to hear if she hears the gobbler or any other turkeys. Also great footage and audio man
@GGGoutdoorsKingdomConnection5 жыл бұрын
Manny Krachtt yes. U can learn so much from watching/listening to the real thing! Helps to add realism to your calling for sure! Most times u won’t hear a big long drawn out string of calls from a real turkey, they do shorter sequences most times with pauses, listening for a response to their calling. Some do call a lot like this one did, but it will be mostly shorty sequences as they look for company and listen.

I’m a beginner. Is she happy or upset? Are those high pitch repeats Kee Kees?
@GGGoutdoorsKingdomConnection3 ай бұрын
@@wantabeu2ify yes she’s doing a lot of kee kees in this video. Kee kee is a lost call, “hey where are u” type of vocalization. She has a little bit of everything in there.
